I kind of feel that these guys are really self aware of their situation just in watching the first half of the Falcon game and I think their grasp of the NFL rule book may be lacking. I think. Saw a guard line up close to two yards behind the LOS. Figured I'd check in with the masses.

Old refs were terrible. Not sure why everyone's getting their panties in a bunch.

That said, replacement guys are going to get crucified. Not because they're worse than the old refs, but because Florio and King want you to be OUTRAGED!

The refs in the Buffalo game are terrible. I can't say I've ever seen a punt downed at the 5 yard line, called a touchback before.

Don't have to go too far back in the playoffs to remember last year's refs prematurely blowing plays dead on laterals.

I don't see what's so horrible with these officials...they actually make a lot of calls that the old ones were too old and blind to see.

The powers that be in the officiating world are just scared that the world will find out someone just out of HS can be a NFL ref and no one will care.

they look good to me. i agree the media heads are the ones trying to make this into some big story. the guys the past few years weren't perfect so the bar isn't so high for any replacement refs to reach... it's not like these replacements never were refs before. it's just their first time doing an NFL game.
