Arian Foster torn hamstring? Per John Clayton (1 Viewer)

Always wait for word from numerous outlets before panic though. If this is not picked up by nfl.com soon then it's not true, once it is on every sports website and scroll then it's panic.

Anyone who thinks ANY player would post a pic of their medical goods showing a serious injury is bananas.

Contract year, about to start the season..

But hey, no... I'm way too injured to play. Just wanted to let you all know!

Is it really beyond reason that Foster could've had his name added to an image of someone else's hamstring tear just to F with the fantasy football community? He himself said it was a joke soon after and him jogging indicates less severity than how that image appears. Wish we could get a doctor to give some input regarding the image. I don't think Clayton would've made the comment without getting an ESPN doctor's opinion, but I'm not convinced the image is really Arian's hammy. He could easily be playing games as a response to the earlier twitter controversy.
He'd be effing with all of the Texans' and his fans as well..I doubt that is the case as it would turn a lot of people off to him. You don't fake injuries just to have fun or prove a point that you think fantasy football is stupid.

My brother's wife's cousin's neighbor is a lower leg surgeon and once showed me a picture of a torm hammy and it looked exactly like that. I will tweet this to him and get his opinion.

Not to be too picky, but why would Clayton have access to anything medically related for any player. I have 4 kids and as a parent you loose access to their records without their consent at 16 ...Clayton has not seen the MRI results, nor will he be able to speak with any of Foster's doctors. The Texans do not benefit by dancing around this either. If he has a significant tear then they would state it and take the necessary steps to switch gears for his health and the performance of the team. Look no further than Foster himself taking Slaton's place ...It's all HOGWASH!
pwned
See post #34, you both look foolish now.
I honestly have no clue what youre talking about. Foster tweeted the photo. Clayton saw it on twitter.

It makes people feel better to think that Clayton found some secret files, and that Dr Kaplan (who MUST be Foster's doctor) also reported on the fact that Foster is screwed!Yet Foster jogs at practice, says he'll be ready... Coaches as well. Sensationalism is alive and well in Amurica.

Maybe Foster tweeted a pic of a torn hammy that wasnt his own just to #### with us sick people.
Maybe, he would had to have photoshopped his name, DOB, etc... onto the image as well. Not impossible, but seems unlikely.
I cant view the pic at work. No clue whats on it.

But no one can tell too much from this one image.
Exactly why Kaplan should keep his mouth shut. I'm going off memory, but an MRI I had done years ago was much worse than this, and I was reeling for about 5 weeks. Then again, I didnt have to go out and juke through professional football players. But I also didn't have 1/100th of the care and physio tools Foster will have

:goodposting: Not to mention shining a "hey look at my already badly injured limb" light on a supposed bad injury for forthcoming opponents.

The tough issue you don't even know who the right backup to pickup is.

I would lean toward Tate but he is third on the depth chart.

As fate would have it, the Foster owner in my league is an actual ER Doctor. He and I go back and forth about each other's teams all the time. He responded to the e-mail I sent him with all this "Foster fiasco", and he wrote back - "Well I saw foster's post and MRI. I hope they sit him week one. Doug ------ Medical Director, the hospital he works at".

When he talks bad about the players on his own roster, he's normally being very serious.

While I don't doubt your story... And dont totally disagree that Foster may end up sitting week 1.And accurate and unbiased statement cannot be made on a single MRI photo.

Ward averaged over 6 yards a carry last year and a TD every 12 times he touched the rock...

dude can play...

I know Tate owners across the country are pitching tents in their pants right now....but I wouldn't hang your hat on Tate carrying you to the championship just yet....

Over 1,900 views in a little over an hour. Great job OP causing unnecessary panic of Foster owners.
Why criticize the OP? You would have preferred that he not post the information as reported on the most recognized sports network in the world? We're all free to draw our own conclusions, but to dump on the OP is misguided, in my opinion.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d821db906/article/foster-mri-on-injured-hamstring-displays-antiawesomenessDoesn't really say much other than a recap of the tweets, but they did add:

Arian Foster tweeted an MRI image of his injured hamstring injury, but assured Houston Texans fans and fantasy football enthusiast that his injury was not serious.

The MRI image, posted here, suggested otherwise.

May I hang my hat on my pitched tent then?

If I'm not mistaken you can get his name, date of birth, and social security number from this image.

Either he has Lifelock , or he is auditioning for the next generation of "I am Emmitt Smith" commercials.

ClaytonESPN John ClaytonESPN's Dr. Michael Kaplin thinks Arian Foster could be out three to four weeks with his hamstring injury. He's done light jogging for 2 days
I think it's irresponsible to make a specific prediction like that. MRI was from 3 days ago. The muscle is clearly torn but not retracted back, likely partial, interstitial tear. Can't be more specific than that without the other images. There's also edema and swelling in the posterior soft tissues. This has to be a first, right? I don't know why Foster would tweet this. I don't see how I could take Foster first overall after seeing this either. I'm sure someone will take him before I'd be willing to.
