Arizona fires Dennis Green (1 Viewer)

It is completely and totally impossible to discuss the fantasy implications of firing Green since there is no idea who will replace him. Until there's a coach in place no one can know or even specualte with any iota of accuracy what will happen. That's like asking how your FF team will do before you even draft it.

Can you please stop posting the same #### every thread? We get the point, you're anal. Go spam some other board.Again like the Mora thread, it was an offense in chaos, fired the OC midseason, and Green was having a nervous breakdown every 2nd week. I'm not sure how it could get WORSE, so it's midly good news at the least. If they get Martz, it's FF gold for as long as he stays.

I posted it in the two threads that are exactly the same except for the name of the coach. And again, without knowing WHO is the replacement there can be no accurate discussion of the FF implications. Discussing possible replacements is one thing, but that wasn't the question asked. The question was what are the FF implications. There are none. Until a replacement is named all we can do is speculate on who candidates are. Anything else is like watching newscasters chirping on aimlessly about a slow freeway car chase. Zero information. But please feel free to slam me for bringing reality and accuracy into the conversation and go on to post yourhighly informed and accurate predictions on how the AZ Cardinals (and the Falcons) will fare with their new HC.

I'm confused, Denny Green 'DEMOTED' his Offensive Coordinator during the Bears game. Then they're offense totally sucked the next few games when Denny was doing the playcalling.

Please explain.

Are you ready to discuss the implications of Green's hiring in Arizona yet? I don't want to rush you.

If Martz goes to the desert it'll be a boost for Arrington. It'll be his only hope for becoming an NFL back.

Man, if you don't want to read it don't. Let people have fantasy fun when fantasy hangover is setting in for most of us after the playoffs and having nothing but real fantasy playoffs to keep our minds occupied. "Joe" serious guys like you don't really make it fun. It is your option to read it or not, but don't tell us what we should or should not do!

:D Sweeney thought it was important enough to start a thread for coaches fired, but its not important enough to discuss the fantasy implications of those firings. Got it.

Oh man you got me, I am going to leave now. Funny stuff. Fantasy wise, I think Arizona skills take a hit unless they get an offense minded coach like Martz. Mora has to be a possibility, and I do think that Arizona still is a decent place to coach and to turn that thing around. They played better at end of year and I think it is a good opportunity for any coach. If Mora comes I think it helps edge and hurts the receivers a bit. bad spot for green

either way they need O Line help & if they get that, i expect better numbers from Fitz Boldin and Lien

It'll be interesting to see who the Cards go with.

The Cards were not as bad as most people think...their record is very misleading and Warner really did cost them a few games...once Leinart started playing it was a different team.

Assuming Leinart improves on his spectacular rookie season this team could really make some noise in the coming years.

this would be a great spot for a :Pi$$ingmatch: icon

billyjoe. Welcome to FBG's. mad sweeney made a valid point. Don't act all senstitive when others don't agree with you. It's a Shark's Pool. You're never going to have it where everyone agrees with you.

PS

People don't 'spam' threads unless they are trying to sell something. ms wasn't.

I think they will go with Martz or Cam Cameron. If the Chargers lose Cameron we might see the emergence of Martyball again in SD  . Either of them will probably do wonders for Arizona's offense.

Cam might need to take a couple of OL'man to turn ARZ around but I agree the loss would be huge to SD. A lot rides on just how deep SD goes in the playoffs. I can't believe SD has been able to keep Cameron this long.

Tell me this wouldn't be a PERFECT spot for Russ Grimm, assuming he doesn't replace Cowher.
Arizona is a perfect spot for nobody. That organization sucks, but the head coach will always be the expendable position so there's really no future there. That said, Grimm has to be considered one of the prime candidates for any job. Him in Atlanta would be interesting, and Blank's connection to Joe Gibbs, who would be sure to support Grimm, may help that occur.

Sure, it's very easy to discuss things with known factors. We have stats, games, press conferences, you know, actual events to discuss. But it's pretty hard to discuss the fantasy implications of a fired head coach without knowing who the new one will be. Is it gonna be a defensive coach that turns the offense into a grinder that wins games but doesn't put up points? An offensive guy like Martz that turns the O into a points freak show? Someone in between that makes Edge a force and Boldin/Fitz into middle tier WRs? Or is it gonna be someone who's plan doesn't even work (cuz that could never happen right?) and gets another top 5 draft pick? Until a coach is hired there is simply no way to discuss the fantasy implications. But hey, it's so much easier to slam someone with name calling, cursing and gross overgeneralizations (like saying I gave the same response to all the FBG threads) than to use your head and think things through objectively.
