Maybe I'm reaching, but don't you think that Arnaz Battle should have a good day today against the Eagles? Obviously, Sheldon Brown will be assigned to Antonio Bryant. The #2 and #3 DBs for the Eagles are injured so the guy starting today (check below) can't be very good. I see Battle having a pretty nice day and plan to start him over Whosyourmama.

Completely agree. And while I am not in a position where I need a one week fill in, I definately think Battle is a great one week fill in.

Here's a little two-game summary on #2 Wr's facing the Eagles this year. Remember, Lito Sheppard got hurt early in game one facing the Eagles to put their #3 in for most of the game.

Wk 1 Moulds = 6 rec, 68 yards, TD

Wk 2 Toomer = 12 rec, 137 yards, 2 TD

While Toomer's numbers are not really attianable (IMO) the stats Moulds put up show what a decent #2 WR can produce if the offense exploits the weakness Philly has right now.

Also, Kearse being out may help A.Smith stay on his feet a little better, although the Eagles are deep at D-Line.

i agree. Inot only is battle going agaist their#4 CB; i figure after last wk the eagles are not going to take their foot off the peddle and keep scoring--it's gonna be a shoot out. i wourld say he is a good #3 or #4 Wr.

I like him a lot and was really debating on starting him this week but ulimately did not.

I asked my Philly homer friend about this CB, and he said he was basically pretty terrible.

I think you can do a lot worse in a pinch this week than Arnaz Battle. Plus, he returns punts if your league awards pts for that.

I am jumping on the Battle bandwagon this week. I am in a pinch with a bye week and plan on starting Battle over Greg Jennings & Drew Carter. Here is to hoping Philly can bring the wood early.

No you are not alone- he is playing for me today if I don't put Steve Smith in... I believe Battle is getting too little love in general, and i think it's the hangover from his disappointing results last year. Recall though that those results were driven largely by poor health...

I went to the well here for a deep sleeper. If you needed a WR, this was a decent try.

The logic is sound - bad DBs, passing team, etc. Just doesn't always work out.
