Arrest warrant issued for Brian Laundrie: *** Official manhunt time *** (1 Viewer)

That would help explain something I was wondering about, surely we would have heard something if cadaver dogs alerted on the van.

Hmmmm...I wonder if the dogs could detect it a month later if her dead body was only in the van for a couple of hours, especially if he got rid of any blankets, etc from the back of the van that he thought might have evidence on it.

I would think so, but don't know for sure. Surely decomp molecules would get into any soft surfaces carpet, headliner and seats. I'm not sure how long it takes for a body to start smelling.

Thanks for sending out the GG bat signal guys.

"An autopsy report found that Petito, a 22-year-old travel vlogger who was reported missing last month, died of strangulation, Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue told reporters via a Zoom press conference.

"Our initial determination was the body was in the wilderness for 3 to 4 weeks," Blue said.

Petito's remains were found on September 19, making the likely time of death between August 22 to August 29, three to four weeks before when her body was found. Blue said there "will not be an exact date of death on the death certificate." Her death was ruled a homicide late last month.

She had been traveling in a converted van with her fiancé Brian Laundrie and was reported missing by her family on September 11. Laundrie returned to North Port, Florida, without Petito on September 1.

He has been named a person of interest in the case, but he was reported missing by his family in mid-September. He remains missing.

Steve Bertolino, an attorney representing Laundrie and his family, called Petito's death "at such a young age" a tragedy."

"While Brian Laundrie is currently charged with the unauthorized use of a debit card belonging to Gabby, Brian is only considered a person of interest in relation to Gabby Petito's demise," he told Insider in a statement. "At this time Brian is still missing and when he is located we will address the pending fraud charge against him."

On September 23, a Wyoming court issued an arrest warrant for Laundrie related to the Petito case. Laundrie is accused of unauthorized use of a Capital One debit card for purchases valued at $1,000 or more from August 30 through September 1, according to a grand-jury indictment.

Though the filing does not identify the owner of the debit card that Laundrie is accused of using, documents obtained by Insider from the Suffolk County Police Department showed that Petito banked with Capital One.

According to documents released by the FBI, a grand-jury issued an indictment for violation of the "Use of Unauthorized Access Devices" related to Laundrie's activities after the death of Petito. The indictment said Laundrie used the debit card sometime between August 30 to September 1, and the FBI said the warrant was pursuant to Laundrie's activities after Petito's death, which suggests Petito died before August 30.

I'm starting to really think this guy did it.

I called strangulation a few weeks ago.

My theory is he did it in the van when that couple in the RV  passed by and we saw the van back doors close.  I think she was gonna flag them down for a ride or something and he choked her out to keep her quiet and from exiting the van, killing her perhaps accidentally. He then waited til dark, dragged her body to the dumping spot, and hauled butt out of there.

This seems super super super far fetched. It's not like there's not traffic on that road, there's just not many with cameras rolling all the time.

The fact that camera caught that van was a coincidence.  It's still entirely plausible she was alive at that point.

Vastly more likely he walked her out to the field, choked her out there and left for dead.  (is it still left for dead if you are leaving someone that is in fact dead?)

if he's in that preserve he's definitely dead, no one could last very long out there.

I wonder what prompted then to bring in the cadaver dog...maybe they found something new.

I think the first sentence answers your question. They probably looked at the length of time he's been missing and figure IF he's still in there, there's a good chance he's dead.

I still think the Reserve is a red herring. Why is law enforcement spending so much time searching it? They probably have no other leads and waiting for Laundries to slip up and try to contact son (directly or indirectly)

I am heading out to the lands of Geronimo. I will be tent camping and hiking the area where Geronimo surrendered. I will keep my eyes open.  I have my Catahoula leopard dog with me and not much gets by him.

I will report back next week.

Wait.  Is Bud Light and tomato juice a thing?  I mean, I don't get out much anymore, but that's a new one to me.
I am pretty sure it's Miller Lite.

ETA:" What’s in Jackie’s cup? 2/3 Miller Lite 🍺 1/3 Campbell’s tomato juice 🍅"

It's called a red draw. Started in Texas, the tall tale is a cowboy wandered into the saloon after a hard day's work and didn't want to drink on an empty stomach. So he ordered some tomato juice, took a couple of swigs and got some beer poured over the top. It actually tastes good, I'll drink it with barbecue.

Budweiser actually used to sell a canned version of this if I’m not mistaken.  And yes it looks gross.

Shouldn't the sports books be able to locate Brian? After all, he has a gambling problem.

Because this is a political "red ball", there's quite a bit of money being poured into this case.

There's a fair argument to be made that no search should be done and should not have been done at all but calculated the projected cost to law enforcement and tax payers so far and simply offer a bounty at 50-75 percent of that total.

The actual existing cash bounties total to somewhere around a quarter of a million dollars. Make it 5 million and you'll see a much different response.

The 5 million would be contingent on a conviction or the return of his body where his identity could be verified. That's essentially a public kill order. Something that needs to be reiterated is there is a massive political / public perception incentive for the FBI to find Laundrie dead.

Run the hypothetical. If this was NOT the United States and some other non Western country, particularly a hard line one, what would happen? If I worked for that kind of place and that kind of government, and ran the actual op, what is the pathway?

Remember this is a hypothetical as a thought exercise as to how other countries might deal with this situation. You take the father and mother of the runner. Each day you put them in a public square. You cut off a finger from each of them. Each day you cut off another finger. Then toes. Then take their forearms. Upper arms. Lower leg. Upper leg. Ears. Mouth. Nose. Eyelids. Tongue. Then you pull teeth.

At some point, Laundrie, if he's still alive, will surrender. If he's not alive, you now create a deterrent for embryo Laundries in the future.

Most of you have not truly traveled outside the safety and bubble of the Western world. The way the rest of the world works is much different.

Now nearly all of you would start shouting about human rights and laws and on and on and on. And you'd have a point. Except imagine if it was your daughter. For many of you, in a dark silent place you pretend doesn't exist, if it was your little girl, you'd hand me a pair of pliers and a Gatorade.

Getting Laundrie, if he's still alive, to pop up his head is exceedingly easy. It's just most of you couldn't stomach it. I have a newsflash for most of you. As you sit in front your big screen TVs and eat your steak and complain non stop about your first world problems, how do you think you are able to live how you do actually live as a likely over-privileged American? You get to do so because there are people in rooms all around the world who are holding a pair of pliers and pulling teeth to push the back room deals and ugly brokering of human souls to keep American "exceptionalism" on top.

The lives you all live is built on blood. The whining and the virtue signaling are the battle cries of those who were born into abundance and physical safety. There's a world underneath your overwrought tone deaf smug white collar bubble. It's where the sausage actually gets made.

I could get Laundrie to surrender himself, if he was still alive and actually tracking the nationally daily media cycle, in 48 hours. But who are we kidding. He wouldn't be allowed to surrender. The FBI wouldn't take a chance he goes to trial and squeezes his way out of this. He would have 20 FBI HRT operators eviscerate him with about 800 rounds of ammunition. It doesn't have to be actual justice, it just needs to look like justice to satisfy the American people. And the masses are simply the mob with a different set of open restraints.

Nearly all of you were born into abundance but that's not really the true problem. The issue is nearly all of you were born soft. Weak is weak, it's not gentle, it's just makes you another target.

Guys like me aren't kept around because we know how to make sausage. We are kept around because we know how to keep people from asking how it actually gets made.

Hey, GG, sit down a sec, let’s talk. So the boys at the network have run the numbers and in the crucial FBG demographic of white guys  aged 35-70, your approval numbers are in the tank. We need a hard reboot. A full overhaul. A drastic character arc shift.

We were thinking maybe a sidekick, maybe like that fellow from Will and Grace: a little sassy, lots of flair and attitude and tons of catchphrases. Also, we want you change things up and be a little less Jason Bourne wannabe, and little more like our inappropriate uncle at Thanksgiving, drunk on box wine.

More Archie Bunker. Less living in a bunker. TIA.

A 5150 might be in order here

Yes, yes it is. It's called waiting. Time and winter are on the govt side.  Sooner or later, one of the Laundries will slip up. Or one of the millions of cameras in the country will capture his picture. Or it will get too cold for him in the great outdoors.  Sorry. but that's why we're talking cheladas. Everyone is waiting for a slip up and a break in the case.

Still a really big leap to assume BL's parents have any involvement here.  I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt on the fact that BL is just an odd dude
