I searched for my email addresses and the addresses of some former coworkers. All clear. Then I felt like a sleazeball and stopped.
Did you feel like a sleezeball when you looked at nudes during "The Fappening"?I searched for my email addresses and the addresses of some former coworkers. All clear. Then I felt like a sleazeball and stopped.
I did the same and found that my gmail account may have been hacked back in 2014 with a Russian bitcoin operation.I searched for my email addresses and the addresses of some former coworkers. All clear. Then I felt like a sleazeball and stopped.
Not really. Maybe that's hypocritical.Did you feel like a sleezeball when you looked at nudes during "The Fappening"?I searched for my email addresses and the addresses of some former coworkers. All clear. Then I felt like a sleazeball and stopped.

The leaks I have seen tweeted indicated emails/names/dates and $ spent. And who is to say that these lists/databases are legit? I doubt AM is confirming the emails on the lists/databases. I mean someone could possibly add joeschmoe@hotmail.com to the list just to extort or shame them.
Such a mess.
The biggest danger with these lists is right here imo.The Mississippi list was back up yesterday.
Found a fellow Tee Ball coach, pretty good friend of mine, a husband of a former co worker, and the husband of a lady I know thru work.
There's no hiding from this list.
i like this better than: "Honey, the cat must have signed me up when she walked on the keyboard"And who is to say that these lists/databases are legit? yep, its no longer a private issue with your spouse. Its damage control. The biggest danger with these lists is right here imo.The Mississippi list was back up yesterday.

You probably assume these people are cheaters.
Where a good deal of people who signed up probably were lurking, testing waters or trying to hook up before they were married.
No way I'm entering my OWN e-mail into one of those searches at this point. Many of the searches are apparently using the search inputs as a list-builder for spam e-mail lists.I just checked for my email on 2 of those supposed sites. One says I have an AM account and another says I dont? What gives on that?

No, but only because its harder to fap to a list of email addresses than to nudes.Did you feel like a sleezeball when you looked at nudes during "The Fappening"?I searched for my email addresses and the addresses of some former coworkers. All clear. Then I felt like a sleazeball and stopped.

This is a genius move to tell your spouse if you know you are on a list.No way I'm entering my OWN e-mail into one of those searches at this point. Agree....but honestly, very few geniuses would start by using any e-mail that ANYONE else knows in the first place. I'm sure that if the leak was only names and e-mails, very few people would be overly concerned. Pair that with confirmed addresses via credit card charges, and you've got a whole different ball game. This is a genius move to tell your spouse if you know you are on a list.No way I'm entering my OWN e-mail into one of those searches at this point. even better will be when they find a way to link usage to individual homes. I'm telling you...somewhere, somebody is trying to hack some of the big porn sites to release this same kind of information. There's money to be made and internet vigilante fame to be had to some random hacker who finds proof that Madeleine Albright had a membership to TrannyGrannies.com or something.
Thought about this a little more. The fappening pictures are of celebrities that I have no connection to. It feels a little different investigating someone I might "know". Not saying either is right or wrong, just different.I think it is.Not really. FTR I would do the same and probably feel same as you
Did you actually have an account?I just checked for my email on 2 of those supposed sites. One says I have an AM account and another says I dont? What gives on that?
He wasn't on the list until he checked. So, both are correct.Did you actually have an account?I just checked for my email on 2 of those supposed sites. One says I have an AM account and another says I dont? What gives on that?
Yes, I've used it in the past to get around IP account limitations for various games I played so I could run multiple proxies. But here's a pretty good informative post, not sure what you were going for with "safe".McGarnicle said:Anyone here ever use Tor? Is it safe?
The trick with security, is knowing your adversary. What are you trying to hide, and who are you trying to hide it from? Only by answering these questions, will you be able to answer whether or not Tor fits your needs.First and foremost, there is no such thing as 100% anonymity online. Tor does not provide 100% anonymity. Tor+VPN does not provide 100% anonymity. Tunneling all your DNS through Tor+VPN, using open WIFI hotspots, and changing the hour of the day in which you get online, does not provide 100% anonymity. No matter how you get around it, you can always be tracked.
With that said, there are things you can do to minimize your online presence, and decrease the digital breadcrumbs that you leave behind. Using Tor is certainly a good first step. Deactivating Flash and JavaScript, using ad blockers, and tracking blockers can take you further. But, if the NSA is after you, the NSA will get you. You might be able to make it somewhat difficult for them, and you might be able to buy some time as a result, but eventually, if you are a target, you will be found.
So, it comes back to what you are trying to hide, and from whom. If you are just trying to get around your employers firewall with Tor, so you can get on Facebook, then that might work. It might not also. Tor doesn't make any attempts to hide the fact that you are using Tor. Network administrators can pick it up quickly.
At church, they provide wireless access to their members, but have restrictive firewalls "to save the children". Accessing reddit is blocked, because of /r/nsfw, among other links. However, it's trivial to fire up Orbot, create a transparent proxy, and get around the firewall with my Android phone. But, hiding the fact that I'm on reddit from the church is "secure enough" to get around the firewall.
Technically speaking, Tor uses TLS with very strong and sane defaults. The packets in transit will not get decrypted in real time, even by very large well-funded organizations or powerful government agencies. Trust the math. Trust the crypto. So, a way to discover who is accessing what, is to control a large number of Tor nodes, entry and exit, so timing attacks can be used to create traffic profiles. This may include having access to ISP border routers to aide in these attacks.
I can't remember. I remember looking at the side over 11 years ago before I was married but I dont recall ever giving an email address. But I can honestly say that I have never put my email in since I have been married. And I am 100% sure I have never used my credit card for that site.Did you actually have an account?I just checked for my email on 2 of those supposed sites. One says I have an AM account and another says I dont? What gives on that?

True. That would be pretty clever of the hackers to set up the sites to have people check their email addresses, then use that to determine who to blackmail.
Any list i've seen thus far is like 99% dudes. Giant sausage fest there. I can't imagine guys actually made many "connections."True.That would be pretty clever of the hackers to set up the sites to have people check their email addresses, then use that to determine who to blackmail.
I also always assumed that every real woman on AM was there to set a guy up to blackmail. Seemed like the stupidest way to cheat on your wife since the guy is easy pickings for criminals.
But, anyone checking on a spouse or an acquaintance would be sticking in emails as well. I don't see how that would lead to blackmail. That would be pretty clever of the hackers to set up the sites to have people check their email addresses, then use that to determine who to blackmail.
Where are the lists? I just spent around 30 minutes searching for them and nothing substantial is coming up. A couple sites say you can download it but screw that.Any list i've seen thus far is like 99% dudes. Giant sausage fest there. It does. Now try it for real, in person, with allegations made by others you know. That was "fun" for a couple of years.Thought about this a little more. Would feel the same if there was revenge porn out there of someone I knew. But who am I kidding? I would probably still look that up.

I haven't seen a complete list...that's what I'd like to find. I live in NJ, but grew up listening to DC101 out of the DC area, and listen to them in the AM on the way into work. They were talking about THIS LIST which was published on a Fairfax message board where someone had snipped out the entries relevant to just a few NoVa counties.Where are the lists? I don't know any of this for sure. I would guess most affairs take place with someone you already know (circle of friends, coworkers, etc.) As you can imagine, all kinds of issues can arise from that. I would imagine there's also a flirty/testing the waters phase not knowing for sure if the other party is down for it. A site like AM skips those issues and cuts right to the deed. I guess it's kind of a quick and lazy way if you think about it.Let's see,
- 99% dudes
- the women that actually were on there presumably felt the need to be on there
- any reasonably attractive woman who wants to cheat just has to make herself available in person
- they charge you and take your personal information
Morals aside, what's the attraction?
No kidding. Prolly assume you're searching for a reason and add your email to the list.No way I'm entering my OWN e-mail into one of those searches at this point. Time to start cross-referencing news stories. I'll totally look up Tilly from the recent prison break when/if somebody has a database searchable by name/location. She's the type who would be all over AM and all the strange she could get there.Imagine the poor dude out there who's wife was one of the 1% of the people on the site that was a non-bot female.
95% of credit cards were dudes. I'm guessing some of those dudes created "female" accounts. If there were basically no chicks on that site, how could there have been so many dudes signed up? Wouldn't word have gotten out it was nothing but a sausage-fest?
Don't get me wrong...I've messed with my share of buddies via fake e-mail accounts*, but I've never paid money to do it. Somebody's really got some 'splanin' to do if their wife finds out they paid money to AM and expects her to buy the "But I pretended I was a lady" excuse.95% of credit cards were dudes. *We once messed with a buddy of mine for 6 months using pictures of a girl on a no-nude website and a fake e-mail account. Found him in his favorite hard-rock chat room, picked an ideal user ID, and led him on for 6 months, culminating in a "meeting" at a bar. Poor guy almost cried, and was ready to start throwing punches when he found out his "dream girl" was just his roommate and me messing with him.
