More Than 100 ESPN Employees Signed Up For Ashley Madison From Work

From the comments section:

we found that fully 20% of

identifiable ESPN signups came from women.

Yet 7% of Germans identified themselves as nazis in 1940.

Really makes you think, imo.

Fascinating analysis by John McAfee. Makes some good points. Only thing I disagree with is his assertion that only a woman would call a man a scumbag. His points about Valentines Day, difficulty in obtaining certain files, plus the spite and personal nature are excellent IMO.

Only 3 zip codes in America that did not have an AM account registered.
Heard that on the radio this AM. I guess if you have only a handful of people in your zip code, there's only so many chances. Not to mention, I doubt the people in those Alaska towns need AM...they probably know everyone in the town personally. I also wonder how many folks up there even have internet.

I just thought the more amazing thing is that someone in the small town where I live has an account. Or, hell, in every small town besides those three.

I'll be honest, I'm dying to see the full list so I can search my street and co-workers, and a few select individuals from my past that I always thought were "that type." I'm flat out nosy. I'd never do anything with the info. I just want to know...but I still can't find the full list.

Yeah. Hopefully somebody makes it searchable by zip code. That would be the bomb.

Fingers crossed...I have a feeling that won't happen simply because of all the legal pressure lately. They've been pulling search sites right and left. I'd settle for just getting the file and searching it myself, but I'm rarely online at home, and sure as #### not getting into that at work.

Lol. I deserve that. But seriously, personal issues are not something to mess with. I've been in an awkward spot with a friend cheating on his wife before...Not a place I want to be.

for me, this goes in the category of things I would rather not know.

Don't know if it's a rumor, but read that a DA in Texas charged 3 people with posting information that was related to the credit card data (names, zips). What was reported is that it's a serious felony if you post private information that identifies more than 50 individuals with personal information. Certainly anything contained in credit card records is PCI data, and no bueno to post. Probably why we're not seeing these lists that everyone is looking for.

Also read "download at your leisure," but be very careful what you upload it post that contains information that can identify someone.

Yes, but I don't think if name and address fall into the private information category. I don't know the answer on that.

I don't know either. But I think the difference is that the email addresses that were hacked are less protected than the information that was tied to credit cards, and is protected as PCI data with a whole slew of laws and regulations that are more strict and protective of privacy.

I also believe that there is a very big difference legally between saying that the email address "bigjohnson69@aol.com exists" as a record, and "bigjohnson69@aol belongs to John Smith at 123 Elm Street."

...which, is probably why there are lists to look up emails, but not to look up names or addresses.

Yet another field, reply_mail_last_time, showed a similar disparity. This field contained the time when a member had last replied to a message from another person on Ashley Madison. 5.9 million men had done it, and only 9700 women had.....

Overall, the picture is grim indeed. Out of 5.5 million female accounts, roughly zero percent had ever shown any kind of activity at all, after the day they were created.
Seems like the 4-5 meetups with actual females I had that came out of AM were pretty damned rare.

Man people are stupid.

It’s worth noting that those 12,108 <paid_delete> women’s accounts may represent the only true number we’ve got for women who used the site.
Code:
About two-thirds of the men, or 20.2 million of them, had checked the messages in their accounts at least once. But only 1492 women had ever checked their messages.

This is the story that just keeps on giving... hackers, attempted blackmail, infidelity (or lack thereof), fraudulent business... truth is stranger than fiction indeed.

Best part of the story isnt even the names of the guys, i couldnt care less about that. Its the numbers that are being released. Theyve made a mint off guys with the mere illusion of women ready to put out. Kind of like a digital strip club. Basically a site of guys conversing with other guys and fake women.

It's supposed to have be posted at torrent sites and usenet now. Fairly certain you could find it if you wanted to. It's like 9GB tho.

Based on the NoVa list, it seems there is a high correlation between AM users and people who can't remember their user ID's or passwords. Many of the NoVa users had 2 or more accounts. I'm sure that's at play here as these aren't unique users, just unique user ID's.

I bet the people that use their work email for crap like this are the same idiots who use "password" as their password.

I don't use mybwork email for anything.

Just an FYI...this was me posting under Quez's account.

Does anyone have a clear explanation of what the various charges represent?

I've heard about the guarantee, but what are you paying for when you see a charge of 19.99, 29.70, 68.99, 79.00?

I would be really interested to have an understanding of how the pay structure was setup.

Congrats on nailing 0.3% of the actual female population on there. That's a solid accomplishment.

Funny, I read that a DA in Texas was found to have had multiple different AM profiles.

Probably not the same one, though.

Just think of all the anxious dudes out there who have been sweating this for weeks... worrying if/when an easily searchable database is available.
