Assani's Poker Thread (1 Viewer)

Damn that stinks for him.

That has to be utterly mentally/physically exhausting player poker over the course of days like that. I imagine by day 3 or so a simple mental lapse would knock you out if you werent careful.

or multiple bad beats. It will be interesting to learn what happen because that seemed rather quick.
Sometimes you run into a monster vs a bigger stack. Coulda been oversetted... hard to see that coming. Coulda been drawn out on. Who knows. definitely interested in hearing how it went down though. Glllll Assani. Sorry GB.
He made money though right. This is why I say the main event has to be the hardest tourney to win. Lots of donkeys just fishing and more times than not when you go head to head with them at some point they are going to catch some crap.
Nope, I don't believe he cashed in this event. He did cash in another though.
ME pays 666th or better this year:
595th-666th$19,227
Six figure payouts start at 72nd or better.AF cashed in this one:
43nd World Series of Poker 2012Event #38 - WSOP No Limit Hold'em 102nd $3,831 Jun 20, 2012

Two guys I play with regularly in the top 25 and a third in the top 75 of 1765 left coming out of Day 2s. GOGOGOGOGO!!!

It would be a remarkable coincidence if Assani had the same exact chip count (139.2K) as he had two days ago.

Already regretting typing this but why does your post have Brazil after everyones name? :bag:

So he didn't bust out yet?
It is confusing - he's not listed on the chip counts page at WSOP.com, BUT he is on the PDF in another section of the site that lists everyone's Day 3 starting count.http://www.wsop.com/pdfs/reports/12161%5C2012_WSOP_EV61_DAY%203%20START%20LIST%20BY%20CHIPS.pdf510th place.

He's still alive, has not started yet, he posted his seat assignment on FB about 30 minutes ago. There's tons of bad chip counts out there, don't trust them.

He confirmed on FB less than an hour ago..."wsop.com showing that my table is only 5-handed today....they probably forgot to add on the people from day 2c though. Regardless, I start the day with 139.2K which is a little bit above average."

Agreed there are a lot of sites with bad/old chip counts, but to have the guy busting out when he didn't even play is pretty bad.www.pokernews.com was the site I grabbed the bogus bustout from.Bubble day has to be the worst one to get through - play tight, and you'll bleed out.
Assani Fisher: ‎1754 people left, I'm in 510th place, 666 spots pay

Good chance bubble day won't be until D4, I believe that is when it was last year. They should get down to about 750 by end of today. I think AF is in a good spot having yesterday off. This is the first time (in a while?) where there has not been a break prior to D3, so all of the 2C players have to play back-to-back days. They did this to shorten the amount of time people would need to take off for the ME.

For those of us that work at places that block poker sites, can someone post a summary of what happened?

Thx.

Not related to Assani. Some one just basically handed their stack to Galfond. We caught up with the action on the flop, with Phil Galfond heads up with Surapaneni Ramanadharao. The flop read 2d, 8s, 4s , and while there was only about 4,000 in the pot preflop, the two were in the middle of a raising war when we arrived. Galfond had a bet of 8,400, but he was the one making a decision, as Ramanadharao had a bet of 16,800 in front of him.

Galfond thought for about 30 seconds before grabbing chips for a raise, and putting out a bet of 32,500. Ramanadharao said "ok let's go" and slid the rest of his stack in, which was bout 65,000. Galfond instantly called, and when the cards were turned over, Galfond was miles ahead.

Galfond: 4c, 2c

Ramanadharao: Kd, 6c

Galfond had flopped bottom two pair, while Ramanadharao shoved with complete air. He would need runner runner to win the hand, and he caught part of it when the 3d hit the turn. However, the Jc on the river didn't complete his straight, and Ramanadharao headed to the rail.

After that pot, Galfond is up to 240,000.

Lots of big names in the top 100 chip counts right now.

Shulman, Juanda, Chan, Lindgren, Lamb, Esfandiari, Negreanu, Galfond, Smith (Gavin). Selbst is sitting in 15th.

Even Jerry Yang is at 92.

Lots of big names in the top 100 chip counts right now. Shulm everything we need. America is productive enough that it could probably shelter, feed, educate, and even pro everything we need. I hope Yang makes it again. He made for a very interesting final table.

My bestfriend just tweeted this, "Raise utg+1 AK. Sb reraises I call. A53r. He bets I call turn 4 bringing 2 clubs. He bets i call. River J he bets I tank call. T2o.." This is a super loose player that has been bluffing all tourney (his brother played with him 2 days ago).

Started today w/ 197k, down to 20k or so.

So gross.
