nah, bathroom break lolAssani you lose connection there or what happened on the button?
I was getting worried. The hand before, the SS went all in with A2o and was up against 55 and everything was looking good till the river when an A dropped. Next hand, the guy that had 55 busted.Poker can be cruel.ok, finally...FINAL TABLE!make at least $1794 now
hes played horrendous at the FT so far. Obviously hate the 55 play, but also hate calling all in when you're shortstacked...would much rather push and have fold equity, and then the 67s play which was at least aggressive but still unecessary imo.lucky lock
Bad flop for UtopiaEARLBRY made out pretty good there.
First thing to know, if your local $1/2 live game is anything like the $1/2 games in Vegas or AC then online will be much much harder than live ring games. I'd say that online $1/2 plays like $5/10 live and I've sat at $2/4 tables online that were as tough as any game I've ever played live(and I've played up to $50/100). I might suggest starting out around $.1/$.25 NL if you want to play ring games.Tourneys are easier though, and the lower stakes non-hold em games are quite beatable if you are good at them. Anyway, onto the sites.....I can only speak about Full Tilt and Poker Stars, but those are the main two so I'd probably go with them anyway. If you're depositing $500, then I might go ahead and put $250 in each and just find out yourself. On Full Tilt you can get rakeback(I know Eddie was doing it at one point, maybe talk to him). On Stars they have a really good frequent player point program. Unless you're going to be playing a ton, FT's rakeback is better value. If you play enough to make Supernova in a year(probably not for 99% of recreational players) then Stars offers better value there. The tourneys are plentiful on both, but I slightly prefer Stars as they offer a few more that I like to play($50-500).Ring games are similar on both sites.Stars has the best customer support of any poker site by far.Asthetically, I like Full Tilt better when I'm playing only a few tables, but if I'm playing a ton of tables then I find Stars easier on the eyes.Overall, if I had to pick one I'd go with Stars, but like I said I would suggest trying both and then sticking with the one you like the best.Well like I said ive never played online before, as it is now I play live cash game at my local seminole hard rock. I play $1/$2 no limit holdem. Without saying for sure Id guess Ill probably start out around there online, maybe going slightly higher or lower to see what game I like initially. As for how much Ill deposit, Im guessing itll be a max of $500 initially, Im not a huge stakes player, I just enjoy the game but depending on how well I do online I could see myself upping the stakes as time passes. I would like to begin to play tournaments as well, would probably start at small buy in torneys to get a feel for them since Ive only played cash games so far. If theres anything else I can add let me know, appreciate it. Hope youre still pushing strong in the tourneymlbnfl, Do me a favor and briefly describe what you're looking for in a poker site, what limits you'll play, how much you'll desposit, what games you play, and any other info....it'll help me give you the best recommendation.
As you should. Great stuff.Assani Fisher said:thanks all....funny that no matter how well I run early in a tourney, I'm always upset to bust out and will think for the rest of the night about "what if" I won that hand. Very glad for the $5000 though, feeling good overall.
