i used to be like that. Now i have a job where im busy all day. Cant browse the internet more than a few minutes a day. I go home exhausted and mentally drained. And you know what? I wouldnt have it any other way. My days fly by. My nights are relaxing. I feel every day that i accomplished something and not that i wasted my day or talents. Im so much happier now.

I would think outside the box and try to shift the paradigm. Make sure you use best practices, then circle back to run the idea up the flagpole.

You're re-inventing the wheel here; just ping your new acting boss with an email and kick that project into the long grass. The last thing you want to do is park that project.

You may want to gather the other three for an idea shower - it's the blue-sky thinking that keeps you singing from the same hymn-sheet. Just make sure you are a strategic fit for the customer centric focus.
