In college they review, but only to determine if the player will be ejected or not, not to overturn the actual call which is kinda stupid.

If you're going to protect the players with these rules, it has to be called right... They should be reviewed upstairs and called down to overturn... Maybe a slight delay, but it'll keep bull#### like that from happening.

In this day and age they aren't ridiculous and they aren't going away. So it comes down to getting it right. You're probably looking at 2-3 reviews per game.

btw, was this rule ever changed, ala the tuck rule? Seems to me if the ball was past the line of scrimmage you couldn't throw it but i could be wrong.
