The only reason you even had a shot in the Philly game was because of Davis.

Well when your oft injured starter gets hurt and your backup is Shaun Hill and the 3rd string is a rookie, then the front office basically said screw that position.

Was Gilbert 3rd string? I thought Davis had third string all year.

My bad I thought Davis was a rookie this year.

That's the part that makes him droppable in dynasty. He's a 3rd year player.

I think he'll be happy to take the work. He could find himself a starter again pretty quickly between Mr. Helicopter and Easy Elbow they have up there.

Austin Davis completed 7-of-10 passes for 77 yards and one touchdown in relief of Josh McCown (shoulder) in the Browns' Week 12 loss to the Ravens on Monday night.

Davis came into the game with just over nine minutes to go and the Browns trailing 27-20. He looked rusty his first few passes, but dialed up a deep ball to Travis Benjamin down the middle, hitting his receiver in stride for a 42-yard touchdown to tie the game. The Browns got the ball back at the Ravens' 46-yard line with just under a minute to go. Davis completed his first pass to Brian Hartline, but took nearly 30 seconds to run the next play, which he scramble to the 32-yard line and slid in bounds to keep the clock running, forcing the Browns to use a timeout. They ran it for no gain on the next play, used their final timeout, and attempted a 51-yard field goal that was blocked and returned for the game-winning touchdown. With McCown maybe done for the season, it's unclear if Davis or Johnny Manziel will get the start Week 13 against the Bengals.
