Australia Survivor (1 Viewer)

and just like that the season is over :(
I wont comment on the finale until other have time to watch it

Yeah, now we're just stuck with American Survivor. I guess it's better than nothing but nowhere near as entertaining as Aussie Survivor.
I've only been watching Australian Survivor for 4 or 5 seasons...when I finish watching this season I'm going back and watching the best rated seasons of AUS and South Africa starting with AUS season 4 that aired in 2017.

I quit American Survivor when I discovered AUS.

during covid , i watched all the AUS , NZ and SA survivors

has anyone watched another countries Survivor?

Excellent resolution to the season. Well deserved winner. Especially against the other final two. Loved Raymond's statement at the final tribal, "So your biggest move was mis-playing an idol?" I'm sure Caroline was adding up votes in here head like, "Well, I've got Mark's and Kitty's vote for sure. Kirby and Rihanna will hate Feras for voting her out so I've got them. I'll have my good friend Valeria too, so I've won". Ha!

Not sure if I missed it being mentioned already, so apologies if this is old news. But it's big for all us fans of all the English-speaking versions of Survivor. Apparently the next season of Australian Survivor is entitled "Australia vs. the World" and will feature an all-star cast of returning players from multiple international versions. Casts from at least Survivor US, Survivor Australia, Survivor South Africa, and Survivor New Zealand are in the mix. Rumored to include:

• Cirie Fields (US), David Genat (AUS), "King" George Mladenov (AUS), Kirby Bentley (AUS), Parvati Shallow (US), Shonee Bowtell (AUS), Tony Vlachos (US) have been mentioned in promotional blurbs already.
• Luke Toki (AUS), Janine Allis (AUS), Sarah Tilleke (AUS), Rob Bentele (South Africa), Lisa Stanger (NZ), Kassandre Bastarache (Survivor Quebec), Tommi Manninen (Survivor Finland) have been floated as names but not confirmed.

Actually I think that is two seasons down the road. It looks like there are going to be two seasons of Australian Survivor in 2025, one a regular season and then the vs. the World season.

Well not long now for the new season to begin plus we get two seasons this year can't wait.

I was watching Deal or no deal island and was just cracking up when the girl was explaining Survivor to David. He just played dumb it was really funny.

This is how it went.

A valuable lesson
► Maria-Grace told David that she knew Parvati was a Survivor winner, and David said, “I don’t even know how worried I need to be about that.” That white lie set Maria-Grace up for a lecture that, at least conceptually, will go down in reality TV history. Maria-Grace explained Survivor to a Survivor winner like this:

Survivor is known to be the most difficult reality TV show ever. They have two big groups of people—they mash the two groups. You have to get down to halfway.

Alas, that’s when the editors cut away to hear David’s reaction. Alas! I wanted the full cut! But we did get this gem from Maria-Grace:

Everyone that wins Survivor is known to be insanely intelligent. For her to be four times—and she won. She won one time.

This is how it went.

He needs his own show. Or at least his own channel showing only his reaction shots.

the youtube channel that i watched it on was SurvivorSeveral an hour and 18 minutes
and just a reminder that it is on 3 days in a row
I wont talk about the episode until everyone has a chance to watch it
Just watched ep1, thanks!

Interesting game play there.
Yep I just finished first 2. I haven't really found a favorite, but there is one I think I'll love to hate if they're around long enough.

It's interesting... I remember watching a previous Aussie survivor and was amazed at how physical everybody was. 6'+, ripped, pro athlete physical. This group of "brawn" ain't that.

Do you think it will continue to be on YouTube. Right now I'm watching on Cinema HD but that gets a little funky sometimes.

totally agree
Had the same thought, not many in the brawn tribe that i would really consider buff

i would say no
Last year i started watching it on yt , then it stopped and watched it through the facebook group

after 3 episodes , there is some dumb moves each week .
Still havent found anyone i want to root for
Ditto - 3 eps in.

As mentioned by others - not many visibly 'fit' people on the brawn team. But then again, all of Australia is 26million people. For context: Mexico City has 22million. Harder to find the 'ideal' entrants that can take that much time off from work.

First to be ejected had very little edit. Surprised at that as a supposed eye-candy entrant.
Older big boy finding/showing the idol immediately was a new tactic to gain power early - doubt he lasts long though. Glad they flushed it immediately. Didn't want to watch him trying to dictate gameplay very long.

Burning the hat - early award for the villian-aire. Announces that he did it - on purpose - at tribal? Did he mention he's like Mr Worldwide? Had the under lip dark spot as well in ep2! Just need the pinky to the mouth or yellow minions to top it all off. Facilitates his own exit easily.

Awkward oblivion / weirdo personality award goes to the asian dude. Both irritating and yet he's useful in challenges.

A coven formed - pretty interesting as usually the mystic types get themselves booted real quick. None of the group stood out, except the lone wolf.
Come join the coven.. 5 minutes later - rats them out and buh-bye! No trust, you deserved it.

Big guy butterfly that's a lazy oaf, but is the 'boss.' Weird set-up. Oh, just announce you have a trio during tribal... why? Girls were not happy.

Big girl Noonan getting lots of questions / edits. No real storyline for her yet.

Depeche Mode Poker player suggesting ballzy moves with the wrong people. Fatal flaw?

The extra long coconut bag drag had to suck - over the top and under the cargo net, American Survivor likely wouldn't make them do it the entire course.
Net over water wrestling / ram into each other to get opponent flag can be pretty physical. Another one that American Survivor wouldn't do for fear of medical issues. Derek Carr looking dude fractured his finger/hand and in a cast - pulled from the game.

Lots of standing on shoulders for physicality in challenges.

Did like the napkin with a map on it. Luck to find it and hide it. And another non-American version type of hiding it - up in a tree, not just in a branch head height or in the sand. Climb a little bit for reward.

Lots of people to dislike. Lots of negative edits thus far. Plenty of mean-mugging by a few - for no reason.
The Aussies get to wear a lot of jewelry.

Haven't found the ones to root for yet. Maybe the man-bun Brain since he can do brawny stuff.

Same here. Casting may have dropped the ball this time.

I liked the "I want to ease into the game/how dare you make alliances without me!" tactic.

So far, the self-proclaimed "smart game-players" have been morons with their gameplay.

Re Noonan! She said she's the sister of well known Aussie rules footie family. I've liked her the most so far, but she's also gotten the biggest and most favorable edit too. Some of the folks still haven't featured on camera.

Just realized on the YouTube link above, there's a new season of South Africa Survivor running week to week as well.

episode 5
I still have no favorite , warming up to a couple of them
Starting to get interesting though as they are starting to fight within

Ep 4-6

Chose food over flint for fire? At least they had ketchup and other condiments along with veggie skewers to go with the hotdogs. (Reference to the American version where they got a 3-day old hotdog on a bun only - oh so sickly and dry).

Soccer + water polo mash-up - some physicality in the water.

Big boy Nash is playing the game terribly at every move. Found/revealed/played the idol on day 1, useless at multiple puzzles, then says he threw the first puzzle on purpose - don't admit that dude, and sucks as a goalie as well. Just begging to be tossed from the island and known for just being bad at the game. Calls himself the best social player in the game. Wow - read the room. Fake idol attempt... and doesn't play it. Bluff called - have a safe trip home.

Feel bad for powerlifter Ursula always being on the block due to Nash.

Olympian Morgan did well in both pegs and polo - might be an early favorite to watch. Sociable and leads the majority for Brawn. But might be too intense and mentally inflexible with the win at all costs type comments.

Oddball Myles heroic at kicking the 4 goals.

Another Noonan question edit at tribal - still not much game storyline.

Redbeard comically wears the buff as a tubetop - making the host crack up.

Lambo driving Mom Zara gets some edit time. Unsure what an Aussie Veep of PTA is - definitely not what we'd think PTA is in USA. Apparently her 3 degrees are in Political Science, Econ, and Law.

Brains made fire without flint!

Men's 'Bomb Squad' able to vote together when the time comes?

Mud challenge, cake it on, fill crate, drag it, throw mud balls - winners get a 'salon' trip to clean up. Brawn wins easily. Nice twist making them take 1 Brain with them - AI Ally - reveals way too much intel on the girls / boys alliances.

Poker Player AJ finds an idol after being 'on the bottom.'

Again Noonan gets a host question at challenge. Seeing a trend here?

Challenge course: puzzle + drag net with coconuts + make fire + shoot hoops. Brains early lead but no fire, Brawn catches up on fire. Hoops masters for easy win.

Coven Girls vs Bomb Squad Boys showdown for tribal. AI Ally an oblivious target; Butterfly Rich knowingly is the other. Coven has the numbers, but less cohesion. AI Ally mentions the amount of info she gave at the Salon retreat - not so brainy. Rich gets Witch Laura to flip - on her own Coven. Nicely played twist - no one goes home - they go over to Brawn (with a mystery scroll as well). Poker AJ (has idol) and AI Ally (went to salon) both volunteer. As does Butterfly Rich since he's in trouble. Coven sends who they want - 'Rich'- ly deserved. Advantage scroll: Gets to have 2 tribal participants depart tribal and be safe - tribal may be the old tribe or the new. New allies or shake things up over in the Coven majority? TBD

Butterfly Rich is the shiny penny over at the new tribe, but they don't trust that he can go back (he can't). He's on the chopping block if they lose the challenge. Scroll can save 2 - including himself.

Footballer Sibling Noonan gets edit time as the primary 'meet the new guy' person that no one will trust. Hey, storyline finally! Not happy, more scowls.

Doctor Karin of the Coven gets edit time unhappy that Rich got a 'get out of jail free card.' Coven has numbers, but the cracks are about to split wide open. Pretty cool that the divide within are each choosing boy duos that the opposite side doesn't want or know about.

Bomb Squad boys without their leader and low numbers now must align elsewhere. Just like production wants - it's all falling into TV drama like it should.
Physical challenge: Floating platform on water, sumo-style push with a pad. 3 points wins. 2 quick wins. Nice 1 was close and exhausting - over 20 minutes - called a draw. 2vs2 now. Brawn 3-0-1. Prizes: Camp comforts and messages from home.

Back at Brains camp, the split is widening. Under-edited Teacher Max gets told he may be the vote - stops prancing around immediately. Game on vs name-dropper Myles.

Brawn tribe has 1 extra person - Rich that Brains sent over the them - seems weird that the tribe swap wasn't when they were down people. He sits this one out.
Challenge: Swim to get large frame that all need to help with and get it back to shore + backwards net climb with back on huge slide to collect puzzle pieces + complete word puzzle. Go up slide in reverse order of upper body strength! Wow Redbeard Jesse slides up face first and flips around to grab the net right near his set of pieces - heckofa move! Brawn and Brains actually help each other until last word. Brawn wins by 1 tile.

Bomb Squad. Bomb Squad. Rich's initial 2 person safety net goes to Teacher Max to decide which 2 - stated Max and AJ safe. 'Graduates' alliance - whatever.
'WAG' Logan gets some edit time. PHD Student Kaelen as well.
Twist, Max may choose 2 others instead - hoping to take out AI Ally. Witch Laura wants to control things, suggests 2 others and targets Lambo Mom Zara as a blindside. Max would not be safe. Still doesn't like 'Jungle Rat' Myles and has a grudge. Decisions, decisions.

Sends Witch Laura and Doctor Karin back to camp. 2 Coven members - surprise surprise Bomb Squad has the numbers now. Chaos all around for everyone's expected outcomes all day. Host acknowledges that Max left himself unsafe. Of course, Teacher Max whispers to vote Myles anyways.

Blindside 5-4 against Mad Max and his smug look after each Myles vote - - - Artificial Intelligence Ally goes back to programming.

Extremely fun episode all around.

Ep 7

Max blindsided himself with the chaos. It's amazing what 1 day of power does to someone - particularly when he didn't earn it himself.
Graduates alliance in the majority.

Mix up the tribes time. Rich goes back to Brains - that was a short lived swap (and his 'bomb squad' twist worked in his favor too). Majority went to the opposite tribe on each side. Will they vote their 'old' tribe or meld into the new one?

Challenge: memorize sequence of blocks out in the water and emulate on land. Man Bun Kaelan is a merman - swims like a dolphin. Brawn (now actually a Brains majority) wins 3-0

Teacher Max finds idol with no one around. Dumb dance for the camera. Needed it since he blew up his own game the night before.

Challenge: Heavy crates lift and move to unwind ropes - hard push/pull under long nets and over a wall, followed by balancing tiles on a 30 foot pole up an inclined wall. Butterfly Rich and Man Bun Kaelan found their calling as a duo initially. Up quickly 2-0, but loses 3-2 to Brains.

Weight Lifter Ursula vs Footie Sister Noonan really do not like each other, but have to rely on each other as they are in the minority vote. Noonan can't get past her high horse to align. Ursula just wants a little respect instead of eye-rolling - and doesn't get it - no trust at all.

Footie WAG Logan brought up by both sides as a target. Poker Player AJ trying to play both sides verbally - but unable to commit his vote - fails the non-verbal commitment test at least initially - then agrees with Rich. Will Rich flip sides - he likes the chaos? Will Ursula vote with the group?

But wait, there's more. With the vote now unsettled, a backdoor possibility by AJ and Doctor Karin may try to get Rich out. They rally the others... and Rich walks in while AJ is talking about him - LOL.

Another good episode for a possible chaotic ending. Over-edited Rich or Under-edited Logan?
Rich is definitely the funnest to watch right now.

Footie Wife and Girlfriend WAG (what a weird way to title oneself - claim to fame is just being associated with someone else) Logan survives. Fan favorite and agent of chaos Rich is a goner.

Ep 8
Oblivious Myles yapping to anyone who will listen about various other players and issues of the previous tribe set-up - peeps not happy with his mouth particularly since they are in the minority vote. Zara tries to reel him in, but nope - social butterfly on overdrive.

Firefighter Kristin gets some screen time. Poker Player AJ threw his shield Rich under the bus last night and is recruiting Kristin as an ally. AJ is getting a bit overconfident (he does have an idol as well - unknown to others). The episode is nearly all his.

Footy Sibling Noonan vs Weightlifter Ursula still boiling over. Noonan has the votes to win the battle.

Challenge: Pegs in a wall. Endurance/balance. 2 throwers each aiming sandbags at coconuts with numbers on them. The numbers correspond to a peg that now must be removed. Paramedic Paulie impressive while hanging from 1 last peg for longer than one would expect. Brains win when he finally falls.

Noonan gets another random edit about being a target for elimination. AJ more major edit time this episode thinking he can get others to throw challenges to get his targets out. Nominees are Paulie (napkin idol holder - better play it) or Ursula the outcast. Paulie throwing out a possible minority vote collaboration to pull a blindside on Doctor Karin - but Ursula and Noonan have to work together. Noonan narcs them (Ursula) out to Karin. And then the trust is dead again. Quite the edit sequence.

And then there's the finding of a maggot in the rice. What little in the stomachs they have is churning.

Tribal: AJ ruling the roost and loving the power. Wants his plan of 'hostages' of the minority group and hopes to influence the other tribe to throw challenges to keep pace on 'original tribe strong'. Host is intrigued, but skeptical. Who's the biggest liability? Noonan wins the battle indeed - Ursula goes home.

Man they keep voting out the players that make it interesting.

And half of the players haven't gotten much of an edit yet.

Ep 9
Previous episode was an AJ centric one. This episode starts off in an anti-AJ slant by 3 of his female alliance members - Kristin, Karin, and Logan.

Meanwhile, Oblivious Myles is -still- yapping non-stop. He has no listen mode. All strat; no personal/social. Funny shot of Redbeard Jesse trying to find a way to get away from him in a respectful way. Teacher Max trying to 'namaste' to a quiet place - to no avail - still can't stand the jungle rat.

With Rich and Ursula now gone, other tribe denotes they voted out all the muscle.
AJ tells other tribe his 'Hostage theory' for them to start throwing challenges. Not taken well of course - particularly old tribe members on other squad that are now 'hung out to dry' as sacrificial votes if the other tribe does try to keep pace in numbers. AJ's squad does not support the theory - setting him up as a lone wolf.
Challenge: Unload 50 sandbags from canoe (raft). Drag canoe onto land to puzzle spot. Canoe raft 15 slats are puzzle pieces that they have to disassemble and finish puzzle with. So far behind, is one team throwing the challenge as AJ requested? Yuppers (2 sitting out asked them not to throw it - not happy).
Twist: Puzzle message says sandbags contain an idol - some teammates on intentionally losing team stop doing the puzzle and go searching for safety - all are from the majority group, further screwing over the minority side.
Leading team finishes the puzzle wall and onto tossing named balls up on nets - then going for the sandbag idol after landing. Throwing challenge team refuse to help with the wall and can't finish if those idol searchers don't throw their named ball. Kristin finds 1 idol and tries to hide - Noonan throws her under the bus and announces it - still playing the villian even after Urlusa is gone. Partial backfire - low man on the vote totem pole Myles gets the other idol. Max is pissed. AJ is beaming as his plan is working.

5 have Idols: AJ (hidden), Max (hidden), Myles (sandbag), Kristin (sandbag), and Paulie (napkin)

Stonemason Bearded Ben and Skateboarder Redbeard Jesse led the 'throwing' effort. Flush Myles idol and boot Max seems like an easy plan as a split vote. But if the minority group vote together, knowing the split vote, can put 4 votes against majority member DJ Kate. Max apprehensive to do the group thing and playing emotionally regarding Myles - guess he wants to fail spectactularly like last time - tells majority side the plan. He proposes a 3/3/3 split vote to Ben/Jesse to get Myles or Zara booted. Non-verbally they both seem to dismiss Max' intention of joining the majority. Max tries getting Witch Sarah to flip who might get Myles to play his idol on Zara. Really hoping it's a dogpile on irritating Max and he doesn't play his idol.

Tribal: Myles plays his idol on himself (not Zara). Max does not play his idol. Flush works... and Mad Max goes home with an idol in his pocket. Kate was the lone other vote (Myles) if both had played idols.

Heck ya - love the smell of burnt bridges in the morning! Delusional flippity flip-flopper deserves it. Found out he has 'no' alliances except the ones in his head.
Both idols on this large tribe are gone. Short #s tribe was 3.

You have to love it when people hear their name early (and often just once), then ruin their game with a myopic focus on getting one person out.

Ep 10

Reminder: Brains are mostly original Brawn. Brawn is majority original Brains.

Myles escaped tribal by playing his idol last night - and is still talking up a storm. Today is full of Redbeard Jesse taking digs at him - unsure why.
Witch Laura is all kinds of worried about being on the bottom (Myles is).

AJ getting major edit time again. Every person is his #1 or so it seems.

Challenge: The game where it usually pays to be tall, long reach, with good balance - knock a statue out of another's hand. Saw 3 different techniques immediately. 3-2 Brains get the clear keg of beer and Parmesan chicken meal.

Myles back to strat talk throwing info about his old tribe all over the place. Minority members are freaking out at him. Shush it dude - again! Every day, rinse and repeat. Not long for this game.

Challenge: Create wood ladder by chopping logs, untying portions in an over/under obstacle course, and upper-body strength climbing a single rope up high. Raise a tower for hoops. AJ volunteers for hoops - sabotage for 'hostages'? Yup. But both sides are throwing it. Host: how about we call it a draw and have both tribes at tribal and send 2 people home (I'd like to see that)? Brains Ben decides to make the last shot.

Really wish they'd gang up on AJ in votes. Gotta believe he's not going to last long when they merge. 'Hostage' theory would be a story worth the $mil.

After saying to AJ on top of the tower where no one else heard Ben was throwing it as well, but in group Ben sets him up saying he wasn't throwing it as he was hitting rim whilst AJ was majorly off course.
Minority team members Noonan (hurt medical wrapped ankle) and others upset that they were busting arse and could have just sat around instead of watching the AJ tank job.

Man bun Kaelan finally getting edit time instead of appearing to float to merge. But, in group, let's it slip to Paulie he's the 4th vote whilst Paulie was told he's the low vote split to get Noonan out. Kaelan is a PHD student - was it in error or strategic? AJ befuddles that his assignments were challenged. Paulie asks for the girls to vote Noonan and boys to vote Paulie - so he has the tie-breaker vote of Noonan.

Paulie (idol - better play it) vs Noonan (injured). Logan upset that AJ insinuated a vote against her. Noonan, previously the villain in a majority, is now teary-eyed as a minority vote getter. Got little sympathy for her - should have played the game instead of smugly picking on people.

Noonan wants to pull a coup on AJ with Paulie and Logan (who are both supposed to vote Noonan to save themselves). Noonan, always the villain, is going to tell Logan that AJ told her to vote L out. 'Did he say that?' Wellllllll.... not today. Logan, Karin, Paulie, and Noonan do want AJ out. Will the little white lie work?

Paulie also makes the plea against AJ to Logan, Karin, and now Kaelan. Wants the winner of Survivor to have integrity - not someone who throws challenges. Logan tries to get Kristin on board. Paulie understands that he needs to play his idol tonight.

AJ, who has the camp idol and knows there isn't one, asks why Noonan or Paulie aren't out looking for one.
Fun storybuilding/edited episode.

Will it be majority same old same old Noonan or a major blindside against AJ?

Tribal: All eyes on AJ - no one knew about the challenge being thrown - mentioned at him after he says that he keeps all his alliance members informed. All crossfire on AJ. Paulie plays his idol (napkin). Majority AJ, Karin, Kaelan freak out as they didn't know about it. AJ feels the burn coming - plays his idol (hidden) as well - sparking grumpiness from his alliance members that he didn't tell anyone. Paulie 4, AJ 1, - both do not count, Noonan with 2 goes home - both votes were from her minority trio Paulie and Kristin - ouch - could have changed the outcome and gotten to a 'no majority' situation at 3-3.
Even though the majority won again (as expected), it was a fun tribal!

Kristin's known idol (sandbag) remains. 2 unknown idols flushed.

Ep 11

Back at camp, AJ still getting ripped into. At Tribal he did 2 things that he didn't tell his alliance about after literally saying he shares - everything - with them. Trust issues abound and going all around trying to make amends.

Paulie (the snake oil salesman) plants the seed that the alliance can supplant him in AJ's place.

Redbeard Jesse proposes to stop picking off their minority group and just go out and win intentionally - get to merge 8 strong - Mega Alliance. Sounds fun to some, you know, assuming they never go to tribal again. Most are realistic that it's just a power play.

DJ Kaos Kate gets a personal edit. Not just a skimpy outfit anymore, ready to play the game. Forms the 'Girls Gone Wild' GGW alliance (DJ Kate, Olympian Morgan, Witch Laura, and 3-degree Zara).

Challenge - Tribes each hold up poles with a trough of water above them. Endurance and strength. It falls, they're wet - and out. Wow, quickly over as a group, not individuals dropping out to one last poor soul. Brawn wins
Intentional sabotage as a group is the discussion? They say they didn't, but host mentions it's never gone that quick. 2 of the 4 GGW alliance sat out. So much for the Mega Alliance as well. Opposite team AJ observes that they are all happy with the result on the other side - odd for an oops.

{twice - pan over a few feet to the advantage scroll in plain sight on the ground leaning against a tree - that none of these 5 noticed} At the well, Redbeard Jesse trying to dictate everyone's vote. 4 on Witch Laura, 3 on Oblivious Myles. GGW alliance are supposed to protect Laura - will they turn the tables on Jesse with their 4 votes?
They tell Myles that he needs to vote for Jesse and to search for an idol. Jesse noticed that the girls are chatting 'heaps' and switch things up - bring Myles into a plan and have him vote Laura.
Jesse, Brown Beard Ben, highly under-edited greying beard Soccer Coach PD, and Myles form the 'hunkz' (with a z) alliance - hunk is tattooed on Jesse's abs. Basically boys alliance vs girls alliance as the Mega Alliance is dead.

Laura finds the advantage scroll (they don't show what it says - short message), shares with Zara and it makes her pissed off as it will destroy 'her game.'

Tribal is down to which way is Myles going to align? Not so fast...

Tribal: Initally wanted to keep it secret, but Zara was going to reveal / strongarm anyways to get what she wants (ie, Zara's advantage) - Laura announces to the group that the advantage is that whomever is voted will not be out, but go over to the Brawn Tribe instead. She wants them to vote for her (other tribe has a majority from her old tribe as is bestie Logan). Zara also self-nominates (in tight with Karin, but also a highly disliked AJ). This tribe majority obviously don't want to be sent over to be a hostage. Both Zara and Laura voted Myles to not vote for each other. Zara wins 4-2-2. Laura's goodbye "I wouldn't have done that to you." Well, you shouldn't have told her...

Another fun episode. Great work all season thus far with the suspense and editing.

Ep. 12
Zara arrives at the new camp at night to welcoming arms. Of course she says that 'she and Laura' found the scroll (lie) and omits that she screwed Laura over (well, duh, not going to mention that!). They ask how Laura is doing and she can only pause and say 'we' were doing the best we can against the strong majority - knowing that Laura is likely the next vote out now.

Daytime - time to see if the old 'Graduates' alliance is still kicking.

Laura is still livid.

Myles (up to 16 votes for him so far) says he never took the Hunkz alliance seriously (though he voted their way the night prior). Still on the bottom and seeking an idol. Describes how his job is analytics and he studied physics so he's looking for things that seem out of place - and finds his second idol (sandbag)!

Doctor Karin and bestie 3-degree Zara are back together again. Karin is anti-AJ today, but he walks up and she walks off awkwardly. Zara collecting intel on the new tribe while she's been gone. AJ giving the lowdown. Zara really wants Logan gone as the bestie to Laura.

Funny moment as Zara is leading the tribe to the challenge, she stops in the old tribe's starting square instead of the new tribe's. Old habits die hard.
Challenge - 1vs1 - Big water slide down to sand and fight over a life preserver ring that they need to place on their team's pole. Nice rag dolling. Oh snap - PD vs Kalaen literally hearing a snap. PD arm - possible torn bicep (later revealed the he gets medically returned with restrictions). Kaelan teary eyed about the injury. Laura (big girl) vs Zara (lil one) over 10 minutes for the Brains Laura win.
Twist for carb up at the spaghetti shack. 1 person enters at a time (they all assume there's an idol hidden in there). Redbeard Jesse pigged out on the meatballs - LOL. Myles, 2nd to last to go is smart enough to empty the main spaghetti bowl to see a clue - it says 'check the shelter' but he reads it as 'check the shelf' - no idol. DJ Kate is last and everything has been touched/thrown around - yummy. No meatballs left!

Cross-tribe talk: Logan was told by Laura that Zara stole the vote and not to trust her. Logan confers with Zara bestie Karin and Kaelan about taking down AJ and then go idol hunting. Logan finds it - but all 3 know.

Idols: Kristin (sandbag - all know), Myles (hidden - no one knows), and Logan (hidden - 3 know). Much harder to hide as the they are miniature skulls about the size of 2 walnuts. Is that an idol in your pocket or just happy to see me?

Myles concerned he didn't find the idol. {camera pans over to the camp 'shelter' where the advantage scroll is tucked away} Guess who is laying leaves on the shelter? Myles - and finds the scroll. It's 'check the shelter' epiphany. Karma.
Advantage: The ability to make someone else's immunity idol your own (he already has his camp's).

Challenge - Balance on a beam pulling a center disk between people via ropes. Clockwise rotation, first to stack 10 cubes on the center disk without dropping the ropes/cubes or falling off the beam - wins. Brains.

Chaotic AJ vs Snake Oil Paulie. Simple split vote, right? AJ beleives it'll by 1v6; some want to make him sweat 3v4. Could there be an 'oops' vote to make it 4v3? Or.. could Firefighter Kristin play her known idol on Paulie to send AJ packing? AJ hatching a plan to get Logan out.
Tribal: No vote tonight... what?!?!? Stonemason Ben from Brains has decided to leave the game.

Survivor Twitter and Reddit likely in an uproar of conspiracy theories for why.

Another episode full of moving parts. Merge is nigh.

I still haven't found someone I like this time around. Definitely found a couple I can't stand though.

At least they are leaving in the eye candy.

there are some folk I want to like, but nobody I'm all in on yet. Karin, maybe. Laura. the EMT. some of them, especially on the Brawns, haven't even gotten an edit yet.

we're through ep7 or so, behind rifraff and the excellent write-ups.

Yep really like @Riffraff analysis.
Wonder what's up with Ben. Some wild speculation on reddit.
