Average Draft Position (1 Viewer)

A big part of the website redesign was making things much easier to find.

One part of that was our Average Draft Position data that had been scattered.

We've changed that now.

From the main Navigation bar on www.footballguys.com you from Rankings then to Average Draft Position

We have all the different versions. In my opinion the FFPC leagues for Footballguys Players Championship Average Draft Position are super helpful as the $350 entry fee ensures most people are taking the draft seriously. Which isn't always the case for ADP info gathered in other places.

Bottom line, a big part of the new site was making things easier to find and I'm pleased with the new Average Draft Position page. Also thanks to @Drunken Cowboy for helping us dial this in.

This is a nice landing page for all of this.

Looks good.

Definitely an improvement.

Now, to be "that guy", I'll throw in a "Would it be possible to" type question/request here, and this is something more for next year, but:

Would it be possible to link:

  • ADP Data
  • Projections Data
  • Rankings Data
So that, on one page or in one report, I could see, by player on a single page, their Ranking (consensus or by whichever analyst(s) are selected), their projections (consensus or by selected analysts) and their ADP (by selected source).

Then, to really stretch my ask, also add in some formatting that highlights the players that appear to be undervalued (ADP is below ranking/projection by a certain threshold) or overvalued (ADP is earlier than ranking/projection by a certain threshold).

A tool that has all this in one place would be highly valuable in my opinion - and if you have that already and I've just missed it, my apologies.

Awesome, I'll refer to FBG ADP going forward on the board vs. some of the competitor sites.

The FFPC data is probably the tightest for competitive leagues.

Just need to remember FFPC/FPC is TE premium with dual flex. If you are not in TE premium, the TE ADP will be higher than usual (ie Kelce is a top 4 pick in FFPC, not likely that in non TE premium)

Thanks. All those are cool but will for sure have to be future things we consider. Thanks!  You probably should check out the Draft List and Top 300 as they do some of these things.

Thanks.

To me the the ADP at FBG is useless. I want to be able to filter by last couple days, as a programmer you should be able to easily add a filter on draft date.

Both Callaway and Chase are good examples. They are not near the ADP that you have listed. Chase is going much later and Callaway is going much sooner.

There is no perfect site, however I will continue to use fanduels best ball ADP as they seem to adjust the fastest. I understand that best ball <> season long league, however using a best ball ADP for redraft is still better than using an out of date ADP.

agree completely on sort by date or do something like Fantasy Mojo does where there a number of options - but baby steps ...

I would also add the number of teams in the league - 8, 10, 12, 14, 16

makes a big difference at QB, TE, DEF, PK spots

same deal with SuperFlex

I don't agree at all it's "useless" but I certainly agree it can be better with more flexibility on the date ranges.

And of course, I think the best ADP we have is from the Footballguys Players Championship and FFPC and that's clearly grouped by date https://www.footballguys.com/article/2021-average-draft-position-adp.  We'll keep trying to improve.
