B Marshall hope? (1 Viewer)

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has informed the coaching staff that he wants a flashy, pass-oriented offense that "will hark back to the days of Dan Marino" in Miami.

Meddlesome owners. The philosophy obviously diverges from Tony Sparano's, a run-minded coach who made his name coaching offensive linemen. "I want an aggressive, creative (offense), not playing just to keep it close," Ross said. "A little bit more unpredictable, and opening it up. That’s what I think South Florida wants, and that’s what this climate demands."

Have to think this would increase Marshall's value...new dynasty metric...the value of a crazy owner lol

I think Marshall is a major buy low (if you can get him low). He may not be a top 5 WR like some had hoped, but he should improve big time on his numbers next year. New OC, possibly new QB, etc.

As a current Marshall owner, I can tell you there is no way I would sell low....but that's me. Most rankings have him WAY too low IMO...therefore in many leagues he is a great buy low....especially in ppr leagues

I want a Niners offense that will hark back to the days of Montana. But first both teams need a quarterback.
Yeah Steven Ross is a moron. He goes out and makes a claim last season before the year started that Henne will be just as good if not better than Marino. The guy does not have a clue. With that said if they manage to get in a veteran QB (Henne is total garbage) and a good OC then I do expect a nice improvement from Marshall. They need to focus on addressing the interior OL, get a all purpose RB as well via free agency or the draft. They are not far away but they need competence in the front office and a bright OC and yes a new head coach. Sparano is a good guy, a decent coach, but his gameday management was an abortion this season, just insane some of the decisions he made and the play calls he allowed most of the year. That is all on him.Time will tell. But we are at least another 2 years away from sniffing real success. I am not talking about getting into the post season. I am talking about going deep into the post season.

He may not have a clue but I like the comment that he wants to put up points. Doing so is of course the real problem. His statements are what a fan wants to hear. No fan wants to pay to see Herminator like offensive offenses that 'play to win the game'.

We heard all this crap about Marshall last year too. Lotta good that did. "Best buy low of all the WR's". I got tired of the 5 catches for 50 yards and 0 TD's stat lines.

What decent FA QB's are out there to improve their passing attack? Hasselbeck? Campbell? I'm not buying it. I'd say sell him if you can get anything decent.

Xa. Marshall was NOT a buy low. In fact you prolly gavce up a 2-3rd to get him. That might even drop to 4th-6th next year, as too many only look at stats and not what led to those stats.buy low. Henne with another year, hopefully phins draft a RB, and Bmars has a yearof getting used to Henne (rhythm/timing etc)Not to mention BMars was hurt most of the year. But this opinion does illustrate why he is a good buy low.

I think Marshall has lost some speed, perhaps due to his hip problems. He should still be good for 11 yards a catch and 80-90 catches and around 8-10 TDs. In a PPR league this makes him a borderline WR1, but in a non-PPR league he is a WR2 going forward.

He was a disappointment last year, now we find out he has a meddlesome owner? Hooray, good news! We got a little taste of his attitude at the end of the year, more to come on that front, I am sure. In fact I'd say we were about due for a police run-in or baby-mama-slapping.
