Bad Ball recievers (1 Viewer)

Gatorman

Supreme Elite Maximum Tier
Cris Carter and OJ Mcduffie were considered the best "bad ball WRs" of their era, with Carter maybe being the best of all time. In other words, when a QB put the ball in the wrong spot (behind you or Low) these guys would help them with their body lean and hands to make that bad ball a reception.

In the age of bad Quarterbacking, who now is a great "bad ball WR"?

I have not seen him play closely in a while, but I would think Keyshawn is pretty good at getting the tough-to-grab balls.

Chad Johnson doesn't get a lot of bad balls... but when he does he can bend over backwards and still catch it.

Hines Ward, dude cathes EVERYTHING...
Sticking with the Steelers I know that Swan had Bradshaw tossing him the ball but that guy made a career out of acrobatic catches and highlight reels.

Agreed with Ward, but he doesn't get much practice with that now.

Chambers

Lee Evans

Fitzgerald

Alge Crumpler

Steve Smith. The guy catches everything and needs to with Delhomme. I don't have the time to pull the stats, but his receptions to target percentage dwarfed Muhammad's and everyone else who has played with him.

Brandon Lloyd probably has the title on that one. Then again he has had an inordinate amount of practice.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
He also drops those that are in right in the numbers.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
And the ducks if he thinks the ball is going to hit him in the head.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Yet he still makes circus catches one handed behind his body.He and Roy Williams are pretty unorthidox in that they make catches LOOK harder than they actually are.

Chris Chambers

Keyshawn Johnson

Roy Williams

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Very good list. I'd add:MM

Fitz

Whats kind of funny about this is that there are several WRs who can make bad passes look good with great body control and the ability to change gears of speed effortlessly. R.Moss and T.Holt do this very well IMO. Rice and Moss are the best I've ever seen at it.

not mentioned yet: santana moss

brunell made him work for some of those catches last season

*Side Note* How's his Achilles healing?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
He was the only inactive at the last mini-camp. Shell said he's further along now than he was the first time he injured it, and he expects him to be full speed by training camp.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Didn't he hurt it in college as well (ie this being his third achilles rupture?)
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Nope. He was a four-year starter in college for the football team. (Also started a few years for the basketball team.) No injuries there that I'm aware of.
