Need to know for week one lineup... I have not seen him in a boxscore yet

I can't fnd anything out on the innerwebs. Anybody with a scoop other than he is suppoed to be back soon?

TIA

Read he is playing in a minir league game trying to work back slowly. I would sit him the 1st week until he shows that he is ok to go.

From Rotoworld:

Rocco Baldelli (hamstring) was scratched from a minor league game Tuesday.

Baldelli was scheduled to play in the minor league game and then return to big league action Thursday, but that timetable has seemingly been pushed back. "I’m going to see how tomorrow goes," Baldelli said. "Hopefully everything goes well—I plan on it going well. And then we’ll plan from there."

I am leaning with sitting him in Week 1 - at least I have guys I can plug in for him, just trolling for news

And he looked so good until he hurt his hammy...... again :goodposting: ;)

#3of would be just fine with an OF of

Holliday, Rios, Baldelli, Taveras, and Hart

Dejesus and Burke on the pine;

OF is clearly the weakest part of my lineup

So you guys are saying he might not even start the year with the Rays ML club? Could Dukes' hot bat steal the spot or some ABs when Baldelli is ready?

He'll be with the club. But I don't see him swiping bases or hitting many doubles or triples to start with. He might even be benched but he'll be with the club.

As the St. Petersburg Times reports, "CF Rocco Baldelli (right hamstring tightness) was scheduled to participate in a minor-league game Tuesday, but Maddon said he was pushed back a day. So after playing in a minor-league game as a DH today, Baldelli is slated to have a day off and return to the lineup Friday and for Saturday's spring finale. "I'm going to get a bunch of at-bats, as many as I feel that I need," Baldelli said. "We'll see how it goes (today). I plan on doing well, and we'll go from there." - newsource1
