Anybody actually see him running, or in pads or anything?

Well, Rice already started in place of him in the 1st preseason game, so he's already missing work if that's what you mean. Though the account I read didn't make me think Rice is going to push McGahee out of serious playing time this year.

I'd like to find out more about his knee as well. Last year I had Holt and each week I was waiting to hear the bad news, which caused me to second guess his starts more than I would have. I would hope I don't have to deal with the same out of McGahee this year.

I have not read anything that would make me think it is serious. A lot of vets would prefer not even play in that game anyway. It this point I would not worry about the injury so much as all the glowing reports on Rice.

For some reason this seems to be an especially strong trait among former U Miami RB's. Portis and Edge are both notorious for this.
