Hello, fellow FBGs! I've long been wanting to clarify a question about ESPN's D/ST scoring, and it's best demonstrated through example. Let's say I have the following league settings for D/ST:
Fumble Return TD (FRTD): 4 points
Each Fumble Recovered (FR): 2 points
If my D/ST recovers a fumble and returns it for a TD, how is it scored? Does ESPN award +2 for the fumble recovery AND +4 for the TD which resulted from the fumble recovery? Or does ESPN simply award +4 for a fumble return TD, and it's assumed that the value of the fumble is included in the points you have set to be awarded for the event. Basically, if the fumble and fumble return TD are scored separately, then 2 and 4 respectively seem like reasonable values. If ESPN does not score these events separately, and rather combines the two events into "Fumble Return TD," then I would like to know so that I can change the value of the event to 6 instead of 4. The same ESPN scoring ambiguity exists on the value of "INTs" versus "INTs returned for TDs," and with all "blocked kicks" versus all "blocked kicks returned for TDs." Thanks for any insight you can provide!
