BBQ Restaurants (2 Viewers)

Alright FBGs......I'll be in Dallas this weekend with one of my sons for his 21st Bday. Staying in Southlake but showing my son my old neighborhood (Park Cities) and definitely need to take him out for BBQ.

I know Sonny Bryant's is a chain now and probably not worth the visit. And I've been to Hard 8, which was good, not amazing, but better than anything Oregon has. Any suggestions from the experts in here?
Oak'd on Greenville is quite good and not far from your park cities trip

Weirdly theres a sub shop by SMU in Snider plaza kind of that sometimes has really good brisket.

Lockharts in Bishop Arts is always one of my go to spots

I don't think Cattleack is open this Saturday but they may be doing Friday lunch. They are phenomenal. I prefer over Goldees.

Pecan Lodge never disappoints but I think BBQ has improved and they have stayed the same. Good but no longer the best.

Good stuff. Thanks!

Might try and hit Jack's Burger House but time will be short and there's only so much this tub of gloop can fit in his belly.

I've never been but great name and looks like my kind of place https://burgerhouse.com/

It's pretty legendary in Dallas and I'd love to take my son there, but we're going to be busy as soon as we land and most meal slots are filled. But man, their burgers and fries are tremendous.

My sister has an ex-boyfriend who lives in BigD and still sends me their seasoning mix for Xmas. Great stuff!

This right here is the definition of winning life.

And I'm not talking about a Panthers squeaking by the Cowgals type of win, I'm talking about a Scattebo steamrolling over the Iggles type of win.

Indeed. I went to university a few blocks from their OG location (Hillcrest) and basically lived across the street from it one year. Easily ate there 1-2x/week throughout my four years in Dallas. A true staple for the community. Still buy their seasoning salt in bulk when I'm visiting -it really is magical dust for any burger and fry fan. Have yet to find anything that compares.

Ha, that's perfect.....'magical dust for any burger and fry fan'. Exactly. Shoot, I am going to be short on time, but not too short that I can't pop in and buy some of that magic dust.

Grab some for me, GB. I'll trade you some BBQ sauce for it once I make another batch.

Stopped by 12 Bones in Asheville last weekend. Was kind of confused that the price tag on the ribs was $36 and the pulled pork was $15. Maybe rib prices have gone up, but I was expecting upper 20's
I spent the week in Bryson City NC, hiking and wandering through the woods. Heading back to Miami later today, flying out of Asheville and will be stopping by 12 Bones for their Blueberry-Chipotle ribs that I have heard so much about. Price be damned!
