The Giants have found something on defense. Starting to smell a lot like a few years ago with the Packers playing the role of the Patriots.
Have they found something? Maybe.Though, GB's offense is better than Atlanta's.If the Giants don't get to Rodgers a lot...he will pick apart that secondary (again). The Giants have found something on defense. Remember the Giants won the 2007 NFC title in Lambeau in overtime, 23-20.The Giants have found something on defense. Starting to smell a lot like a few years ago with the Packers playing the role of the Patriots.
And that has exactly what to do with a game 5 years later?Remember the Giants won the 2007 NFC title in Lambeau in overtime, 23-20.The Giants have found something on defense. Starting to smell a lot like a few years ago with the Packers playing the role of the Patriots.

For one thing its a psychological edge for Eli Manning. He's won there before in the playoffs. That matters. And that has exactly what to do with a game 5 years later?Remember the Giants won the 2007 NFC title in Lambeau in overtime, 23-20.The Giants have found something on defense. The last 3 teams to beat Atlanta in the playoffs have all gone on to the Superbowl. They basically pitched a shutout against Atlanta in their own house. They're putting pressure on the QB. They also found something in the running game. Both of these are bad news for the Pack.Have they found something? Great...now if Al Harris and Plaxico show up...maybe even drag Favre out to QB for the Packers too. This Packer team is nothing like the one from 2007. And I don't think the Giants are either. For one thing its a psychological edge for Eli Manning. He's won there before in the playoffs. yup. Packers might as well not even dress for the game. The last 3 teams to beat Atlanta in the playoffs have all gone on to the Superbowl. It was in the Giants own house...not Atlanta's.The bad news for GB is if they consistently get to Rodgers...run the ball (more effectively even than today to control the clock) and get those big plays against GB's secondary. But again, they got to Rodgers twice last time and put pressure on him...they have to do even more of that to take the pressure off their own secondary. The last 3 teams to beat Atlanta in the playoffs have all gone on to the Superbowl. Oh for crying out loud. This is only the second time I've heard somebody say this (the first was on the postgame show just a second ago) and it's already making me want to stab myself with a fork. Hasn't anybody else ever taken a statistics course? The last 3 teams to beat Atlanta in the playoffs have all gone on to the Superbowl.

I am flyin to Vegas to win me some easy money! For one thing its a psychological edge for Eli Manning. He's won there before in the playoffs. The Packers are absolutely the better team but that means nothing this time next week, just as it didn't when Kansas City faced off against Aaron Rodgers a few weeks back. It's going to come down to Perry and that defense, as that Giants unit is built to give Green Bay fits. Home teams have been dominating, and the Packers are going to have a decisive advantage with the home crowd but I really like the balance the Giants have developed which can hopefully keep the Lambeau faithful sitting on their hands. Green Bay, on a Y/At basis are 26th(much worse than Atlanta was) against the run so I am hoping they can come out with a similar game plan that they showed today and get some big power runs between Jacobs/Bradshaw.Going to be an excellent game to end the weekend next Sunday, and with solidly executed game plan I think the Giants can turn the tables. This team needs to NOT get in a shootout with Rodgers and company, because that is a situation I don't think they can prevail in, on the road.HERE WE GO BLUE!!!Of course I'm worried, it's the playoffs. Anyone walking around like their team is unbeatable in the postseason is a moron. That said I do think the Packers are the better team and I'm expecting another brilliant game from Rodgers next week.![]()
In response to the Bold part. So why exactly did the Giants give up 38 pts to the Packers last time they played this year??The Packers are absolutely the better team but that means nothing this time next week, just as it didn't when Kansas City faced off against Aaron Rodgers a few weeks back. I think the chances that NYG's D limits GB's O is much more that GB's D limiting NYG's O.'Widbil83 said:As much as I hate the Packers I don't see these guys going into Green Bay and beating them in a shootout. I'll be cheering for little Eli though.
lolWhere have you been? I've been arguing with packers fans for 2 weeks and you were sight unseen..As a Packer fan, I'm not going to even bother watching the game. Evidently the outcome is already predetermined. Bummer that we went 15-1, nearly saw an undefeated regular season, only to lose our 1st playoff game already. Moving on to the draft now!
The games from this weekend are fresh in everyone's minds. GB and San Fran don't stand a chance next week. And Tebow will beat Brady in NE. Done deal.I think the chances that NYG's D limits GB's O is much more that GB's D limiting NYG's O.'Widbil83 said:As much as I hate the Packers I don't see these guys going into Green Bay and beating them in a shootout. I'm guessing after next weekend we won't see you posting for another 9 months minimum.Bet?The Giants have found something on defense. Starting to smell a lot like a few years ago with the Packers playing the role of the Patriots.
The difference is also this. The Patriots were pretty cocky that year. And had not lost during the season. The Packers are not like that this year. And they learned from the Giants and Chiefs game to not mess around. They will put the Giants away as quickly as possible. Giants are too good to let them hang around in games. The Giants have found something on defense. Starting to smell a lot like a few years ago with the Packers playing the role of the Patriots.
Was I really going out on a limb that much with what I said??? I certainly dont think so. Nice, glad to see them starting to get into the Packers' heads early! This is the kind of confident attitude that can really carry the Giants this week through practices and into the game. Indomitable and stout-hearted, they will be watching that game tape from their game earlier this year and comments like this make it apparent they're focused, laser-like, at the task at hand. And guess what the Giants run game ranked in the season? 32 out of 32.The Giants have a running game.
The Packers (27th ranked run game) can lead but they may not be able to hold their lead.
This is now a 3 game tournament. I just don't see how a team with the 31st ranked defense goes all the way.
The NFCC game will be in New Orleans.
That said, Id rather have Bradshaw and Jacobs than John Kuhn and whatever other RB is healthy for GBAnd guess what the Giants run game ranked in the season? 32 out of 32.The Giants have a running game.

O' I see, last time Packers were just messing around.. Makes sense..As a Packers fan am I worried that Giants will beat the them? No not really. Can the Giants beat the Pack. Yeah but I don't think it will happen. I think when they played each other earlier the Giants were well prepared and played one heck of a game. I don't think Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers lets this game get this close. They will not mess around at all like they did last time. They will put the Giants in their place. So I'm not too worried about it.![]()

isn't this the same Giants team that lost to the Redskins twice?NY is too erratic. I don't see this Giants team putting together three excellent games in a row. And if they're not playing their best, they're not beating the Packers.

And Im sure you will do plenty of fishing between now and then while calling others d-bags on another site.Yawn...if you think this is getting into the Packer's players heads...you are quite naive.Nice, glad to see them starting to get into the Packers' heads early! I was thinking the same thing. The Saints, Packers, and Patriots all have suspect defenses, although the Packers do have a knack for intercepting passes. I think Grant has played well recently for the Packers, so I think they can run the ball if they choose to.You act as if the Saints defense is good. The Giants have a running game. The Packers (27th ranked run game) can lead but they may not be able to hold their lead. Well it sounds nice when you put it that way but the problem is "limit" is a relative term. 30 points is a monster game for the Giants whereas for the Packers it's below par. So the Giants can easily "limit" the Packers and still lose the game. Was I really going out on a limb that much with what I said??? I certainly dont think so. From the WR Trio, Cruz got 5 targets, Manningham 6 targets, and Nicks 9 targets. How about Victor Cruz? First playoff game and looked like he choked.
Because the Packers are a great team. However, the giants defense is going out there with a healhy JPP, Tuck and Osi which they did not have last go around as Osi did not play. In fact the only time all those guys have been completely healhy is the last few weeks and if you have watched the last few giants games the front 4 has been fearsome. It is nice to add a guy to the mix who has 10 sacks in 10 games this year. As a giants fan, I think we have a good chance to win this game. Do I think the Packers are the better team yes but this team is not without issues. I think it will be a good game but if it turns into a shootout the giants will be in trouble. The game in week 13 could have gone either way so I think this one will be a good one.'jacobo_moses said:In response to the Bold part. HERE WE GO BLUE!!!It was the Giants OFFENSE that kept up toe to toe with the Packers last time. I think that will be the key. The Packers are going to be mostly healthy going into that game. We will see if the Giants O can keep up.
