beanie wells - can he catch the ball? (1 Viewer)

hightower was the guy to catch all the balls the last 2 years...

can beanie get 30 catches in his new role?

does he have good hands and can he pass block?

I don't know if he can, so far he has 1 rec for 5 yards in preseason action. Not sure how many targets he has received but hes a RB so he SHOULD be catching the vast majority of his targets. Doesn't look great to me.

big problem that i see is that whenever he does make a catch, AZ seems to pick up a penalty. he had a really nice 20ish yard catch/run a few weeks ago wiped out.

No, but SLRH can. If you took beanie, I hope you got him in the 12th or something... could be a decent PPR guy for bye weeks and a RB2 if (when) Bernie gets a sore ankle

Beanie can catch the ball just fine. His rookie season, he actually had a similar catch % on his targets as Tim Hightower did, and had almost double the yards per reception as well:

Wells: 12 of 16 targets - 75% catch - 143 yards - 11.92 ypr

Hightower: 63 of 80 targets - 78.75% catch - 428 yards - 6.79 ypr

He has never had a problem catching passes...the problem was he has not been targetted much.

Well Kolb does like to check down to the RB. Could be a big boost out of no where for Wells. I can see him having about 30 catches for 275-300 yards.
