Bears D has cooled off of late and GB is always a threat to put up monster points. Anyone benching Bears D for a better matchup play? Considering SD (vs Car) or Mia (vs Jax). Thoughts?
I don't think either are terrible starts...especially if you get big points for sacks.Though...if Clay is out...I would not trust the Packers D to get sacks...even against that OL.They do, usualy, pick Cutler a few times though.Packers D a must start vs. Chicago?

Just a gut thing but I don't see Detroit putting up big team defense points this week. I know you have to lick your chops after last week but those kind of things don't tend to just keep happening every week. Yeah, there will be sacks and a pick or three but I can't see another shutout at home and the chances of defensive scores can't be that high in back to back weeks.'need2know said:If Matthews and woodson come back I think gb is a great play. i agree. part of me wants to play GB over det regardless because I know cutler will turn it over and I think gb is starting to play some better def as a whole. if they get woodson/mathews back could be great. detroit has been awful all year even though the matchup is sweet with arz, still nervous about rolling with a below average defense in a semi final playoff game...Just a gut thing but I don't see Detroit putting up big team defense points this week. not the past couple years he hasnt, but I agree I think since the division is on the line there really is no telling what is gonna happen this Sunday. My thinking as well. Detroit is just a terrible d and I don't even trust them against a train wreck like the cards. If Jennings comes back I am def rolling with Chicago. Lovie gets his team up for the packers at least one out of the two games.
Starting Detroit over Chicago is equivalent to starting Nick Foles over Drew Brees because of the matchup. Foolish. Never bench your studs.
same.Playing Miami over the bears this week.
Mathews is on track to play. I am sure cutler is happy about thatCharles Woodson hasn't been cleared and will not play on Sunday.
Get to Cutler early and often and he's done. The Packers young DBs have been playing well, and Williams will do fine on Marshall, so if Woodson sits it no big deal, IMO.Mathews is on track to play. I am sure cutler is happy about thatCharles Woodson hasn't been cleared and will not play on Sunday.
Cobb loves the slop. It's in his bloodlines. His father was a mudder, his mother was a mudder.Rain is in the forecast for Chicago, so expect them to make Soldier Field as slow and sloppy as they can. They don't call it home field advantage for nothing!
Ya not sure how that helps Chicago at all? Personally I would think they would want the best field as possible to keep it a lower scoring game with the defense being able to cut better to keep up with the WRs.'Kleck said:Cobb loves the slop. Since when does good field = low scoring?Games played on astroturf (the least-sloppy field imaginable) have always been known as promoting high scoring, high flying offenses.Ya not sure how that helps Chicago at all? It's not a bad bet with Lindley starting for the Cards as you are guaranteed at least two picks. They're a middle of the road defense going against the worst offense in the league. I just can't trust them.ETARegarding Jennings, Bears coach Lovie Smith said the cornerback is getting a lot better but still held him out of practice today."Every site I have seen ranks the Lions above the Bears this week.
