Bears v/s Chargers Official Game Thread (1 Viewer)

Nice run by Benson.

One thing I have noticed is that Joe Buck has toned down his normal anti-Chicago venom. At least so far he has.

Pretty light showing. This thread was seeing more action a week and a half ago.

More people are in the pinned thread.
When did that happen? This was the only thread for this game earlier.... and this one is ***OFFICIAL***
I started a new thread a few minutes before the game because this one was already on page 7 (on my settings) and I figured people didn't want to wade through that many pages to get to the actual game. I know I didn't.

I'll be the first to say it ... NFL refs are corrupt too. No way CHI wasnt off-sides on that goalline play. HUGE non-call.

OK, so did LT just get you 6 pts or 4 for your league?

For me: 6 pts for the passing TD and a point for the completion! :fishing:

The Bears may want to try and tackle the opposing player. That lame 'strip' the ball routine doesn't work anymore.

I'll be the first to say it, you don't know the difference between "inept" and "corrupt".In addition watch the play at regular speed. It is a bad call, but it was close.

Good game....like I expected. SD made the plays when it mattered.....2 stupid turnovers by the Bears (STs and Adrian peterson) cost them the game....Bears should have won 3-0....they owned the Chargers all day.

Bears will easily win the NFC, injuries notwithstanding :ptts: (hopefully Mike Brown is ok)

The Bears 3 points came off a SD turnover in their own zone. Also, the Bears got away with an offsides that saved them a TD. While the Bears looked pretty good against a better team, the Chargers outplayed the Bears, and deserved to win.

Bears have zero chance of winning the super bowl with that idiot at quarterback.
...on top of that, they traded away their best offensive weapon in the offseason, now they cant run or pass. Unless Hester and the D score as much as last year, the Bears might not win 8 games. They do get the Lions, Packers and Vikings six times, but that might not even be enough.

Just watched Super Bowl XLI again. Bears got totally owned by Indy on offense and defense.
Wow, it must be some kind of ownage when a team was 1 TD away from winning it in the late 4th quarter before the int returned for a TD.Oh, and there are 3 phases to a football game - offense, defense and STs. But then you already are continuously showing your ignorance all over this thread with your "cake schedule" nonsense. Teams can only play who they are scheduled to play. History is full of teams that have played cake schedules for the longest of times. Look at NE - playing the Bills, Fins and Jets has been a cake schedule for them for the past few years. Look at the Saints last year - Bucs, Panthers and Falcons were not really powerhouses last year. Look at the Chargers last year - yeah playing against the God Awful Raiders, Cutler/Plummer led Broncos or the Huard/Trent Green led Chiefs I am sure was very tough. :welcome:
your homerism is clearly impacting your views. I'm not saying that the Bears can control who they play...I'm saying that because of who they play their schedule is cake. they play in the owrst division in football hands down.
"Hands down", huh? I don't think it's the worst division this year necessarily. May be, but we'll have to see. GB over Philly today, the North going 3-1, with the Bears losing @ SD. Not the best, but there are 3 legit Defenses in the North and it is on the upswing for sure. Again, wait for the proof to arrive rather than generalizing.

You better hope its the worst division, or the Bears will be in trouble.

Final Score:Chargers 24Bears 13
Well I got the score wrong but the spread right. All credit to the Bears D, they looked absolutely awesome. That or the Charger offense sucks. I prefer to think the Bears D is that good.Bad news for the Bears, as I thought, they needed Thomas Jones. I don't think their offense is going to do much this year, although they did play a pretty good defense in San Diego this week.

I think the NFC West is the worst now, probably followed by the AFC East.
