Bears vs Bills - Week 9 (1 Viewer)

Nate Peterman clearly hit in the head with no penalty called. Good thing the NFL cares about QBs and head injuries. (and yeah, I know calling Peterman a QB stretches the definition).

Just savor this moment, guys.  It's becoming more and more apparent as the season draws on that this is a historically inept offense.  We're watching history in the making here.  Proud to have experienced it with you guys.

I'm glad it wasn't called.  A lot of those hit to the head penalties are ridiculous and that would've been as well.

Tough for the Bills to come back from a 3-score deficit like this, but we should get some vintage Peterman.  Trying to come back from behind is when we get the magic.

Can't see the game.  Watching on gamecast at work, but Trub's stats look good far.  How are the throws?

He's had a couple of duds but has looked fine.  Bills haven't gotten anywhere near him for the most part.  Took a bad sack/fumble (he should've thrown it away) but they recovered.  Has made some nice mid-range throws, 20-25 yards downfield.

Can anyone explain to me how an NFL talent evaluator can watch tape of Nate Peterman and decide that he was worthy of being even a backup QB?

Is he some amazing practice warrior who only falls apart in games or something?  Does he have embarassing pictures of somebody?

I believe he is considered the worst QB in the NFL.  He averages an INT every 8 throws.

Apparently he won the job in preseason, which isn't really saying much.  The unofficial story is that his wife and McDermott's wife have become very good friends and host Bible Study together or somesuch.  At least that's the rumor.

i like that you take this all in stride. i remember when my Saints were starting not one but two QBs in a season with the name Billy Jo.
I mean, we all knew before the season that this was a tear-down year, and I'm not really the arrogant fan who trash talks or whines about missed calls (or whatever) anyway.

The Bills have the most dead cap space in the NFL and refused to trade their 2019 first round pick because they knew it would be a top pick.  They have looked, frankly, pathetic in every single game this season except for the Vikings game - and the only reason that game wasn't pathetic was because they forced a bunch of turnovers deep in Minnesota territory.  The only players on the offense who will probably be here in 2 years are Josh Allen, Dion Dawkins, and maybe Zay Jones.

The real question is whether Josh Allen is the answer, because they've bet the future on putting a team around him.  Having to throw him in so early and not getting a real veteran around him other than Derek Anderson was an unmitigated disaster.  They botched the QB situation last year and they've botched it this year as well.  But even with an average QB like Tyrod, this offense is entirely devoid of talent aside from McCoy and they're one of the worst OLs in the league.
