we always had a deadline of kickoff for the thanksgiving games. but i don't know how to work it now. should changes be allowed concerning players on thurday night? thoughts?

a good (fair) rule would be to declare starters for the thursday games, lock them in, but be able to change the rest of the lineup until kickoff sunday.

All my leagues are like this as well (hosted by different sites). Once you start (or don't start) a player from Thursday games, they are locked in that position. All other positions can be changed right up until their game starts.

i was mainly talking about being able to change lineups on thanksgiving day all the way up to kickoff for each game, such as waiting until 8 on thursday night to make a decision between a denver bell or a back on sunday, instead of making the thursday lineup due by the kickoff of the first game

Here's how ours reads:

Allow lineup changes to any player in an early game until five minutes before kickoff of the early game, and at 12:55pm EST on Sunday for everyone else.
I think it's a pretty straightforward way of doing things.

how do you handle Sundays? If Sundays require rosters in by the first game's kickoff and then no changes, then you handle Thursday the same way.

In my leagues you can make changes in the lineup until kickoff of each player's game.

The first couple years I played fantasy football, my leagues were played on Sandbox. Their rule was that the entire roster locked five minutes before kickoff of the first game of the week. No big deal on normal weeks, but it was very annoying when there were Thursday games, since the roster locked on Thursday whether you had any players playing that day or not. Someone gets injured in practice the day after Thanksgiving and won't be able to play on Sunday? You were just SOL. Needless to say I like the way it is now much better. :)
