seems like there should be a poll here...Beef, can't go without a good NY strip for more than 30 days. I would really hate giving up bacon and carnita's though. Actually....this is much harder choice than i thought.

Poll option isnt working from my phone for some reason.

Was going to answer chicken, easily. Until I realized how many cuts of beef there are.

And then as mentioned above... Bacon, belly, shoulder and carnitas. Damn

I love chicken as much as anyone, but it just can't compete with the variety of different cuts of beef or pork.

I think I would have to go with pork. I could happily subsist on pulled pork, ribs, pork chops, pork tenderloin, pork belly, and bacon.

I agree with all of this. I am a big time chicken lover but if I had to choose 1, I need to go with the variety of pork.

My first instinct was beef. .. Easy. .. But then I actually thought about it. Pork is the only possible answer. Only reason I could see picking the others is if you are allergic to pork.

Im absolutely shocked at all the pork responses.

It just isnt nearly as popular in Canada I guess. Thought itd be dead last by a long shot

pfft. Take chicken. You got your chicken breast, your skinless chicken breast, your skinless boneless chicken breast.

The only thing I'd miss by giving up pork would be pepperoni. It wouldn't matter though because nobody is getting to eat pepperoni in this game since it's more than one meat. I think I'd pick beef over chicken. I'd miss fried chicken and wings a lot though.

This is basically steak vs. BBQ and bacon. Tough choice. You could have brisket and beef ribs though which would satisfy the BBQ craving to some extent.

I think beef it is.

I can't believe pork is getting so much love. It's good now and again but, c'mon. Beef I could eat for every meal were it not for the health ramifications. Chicken I could eat every meal and still be healthy.

I could deal with not having bacon on my burger. I don't think I could deal with not having a burger at all.

Pork is great but it's not a staple type of meat. Maybe for some of you it is, but I only eat it maybe once every other week. Going beef here, but chicken is not that far behind.

Pork tenderloin is just as healthy as boneless skinless chicken breast, and I think you have more options with pork. That knocks chicken out for me.

Beef tenderloin is nearly as healthy, but again, I think pork gives you just a few more options, but not much. And I think I wouldn't last long with just red meat. After a week, I'd be looking for a turkey sandwich.

Pork it is....

It's an enormous lie that chicken is healthy. 99% of the chicken raised in the U.S. is done so on factory farms. The animals live in their own feces in cramped conditions that necessitates them to be injected with a disturbing witch's brew of drugs just to keep them alive - drugs & hormones that make their way into your body. In addition, the processing involves them being bathed in a hot water tank that's full of feces and disease so they soak up the "water" to make the meat look fatter. In other words, a good 30% of the meat you're eating is really feces and e coli water absorbed into the real meat.

But hey, it's low in fat.
