Begining of the end for the Pats ? (1 Viewer)

I see the Pats going 9-7 next year. Their defense will really start to suffer, but if they keep Moss they will still be great on offense. If they lose Moss to free agency I don't think they will make the playoffs next year. Time is not on their side with an aging defense.
:lmao: free agency down? briggs would look great in a pats uniform.
They aren't going to have that kind of money. Even after Samuel and Colvin go they still have to pay Moss and their draft picks. There isn't going to be a lot left over.

The Patriots peaked at around the 10 or 11 game mark this season. They continued winning but they didn't look near as dominant as the season went on. They were extremely lucky against Baltimore. The Chargers played them straight up without Gates and Tomlinson and with a little luck would have won that game.I see the Pats going 9-7 next year. I have a hard time seeing how they don't win the East to make the playoffs. It'll be interesting to see how the offseason goes and what the bring in via FA and the draft. Based on my current speculation ( Samuel, Colvin, Stallworth, Seau, Bruschi all gone ) I'd put them at a 10 win team. That can adjust up or down based on how those spots are filled this offseason.

apparently you haven't heard that the Patriots are not allowed to draft or sign new players...which is causing many in this thread to salivate over a possible winless season for the Patriots in 2022 when their LBs average age is 65 and Brady/Moss/Harrison are pushing 50
