the last stretch of 5 games are very solid #'s and going up against Cleveland this week I expect another decent game.. He seems to be having one of those Culpepper years where he throws for enough TD's and yards to make up for the turnovers from a fantasy standpoint

Pittsburgh currently 5th is passing offense (YPG) while the running game is 10th..

Whens the last time that happened?

IMO, his schedule the rest of the year is much easier than the first half. Baltimore twice, they have CLE twice, TB, CIN, and CAR.

Surprisingly Cleveland is actually giving up less TDs (8 to 9) and yards (183 to 204) than Baltimore. The Steelers always paly division games tough too. The other 3 games are middle of the pack or worse

Roethlisberger showed much better decision making last week. If he continues that, he could end up as a nice starter some weeks or more

the cleveland game intrigued me and I had BigBen in my lineup over Rivers for about 10 minutes until I realized that Cleveland is only giving up about 13 fantasy points per game to QB's. I've watched exactly 1 Browns game (vs the jets) and i'm just not sure how good they are

Yes, the interceptions are troubling, but haven't had a huge impact his fantasy prospects. Of course some of us saw this coming two months ago.

Big Ben Underrated

But alas, even when pointed out to the haters they could not see what was so visible to so many.

Cleveland's secondary is banged up so it could be a big day for Ben & Ward. On the other hand the Browns are pretty bad against the run so if FWP gets on a roll the Steelers may not have to throw.

ditto, I didn't start him this week due to that, i put in grossman instead.

It has been since week one but they are doing very well in spite of it. The Browns D is not as bad as you think. They give up yards on the ground but not a lot of points.I think Ben will have problems Sunday. Parker is the one to start IMO.

Is your arm hurting yet...you know, from patting yourself on the back?
Are your fingers hurting yet, you know from typing out your roster in your sig?

No one doubts that he sucked to start the season. But, for as much as people are giving him grief here's the #s from his last five games:

112 / 160 comp (70%)

1474 yards

10 TD

9 INT

96.2 QBR

The ints are still higher than we want to see, but the problem lately falls mostly onto special teams and defense.

Big Ben is probably finally ready to play after all the BS that has happened to him this year. Personally, I believe the Steelers rushed him back too soon and he wasnt mentally ready to play. He came off the bike accident and a Apendectomy (sp?) in a span of maybe a month and a half to two months. Then he plays week two? Thats rushing, I dont care what anyone says, Charlie Batch is a more than capable backup. I also disagree with playing Ben the next game after his concussion. Coach Cowher seems to think Ben is superman or some kind of robot (which are close to accurate) but he is mortal. In the beginning of the year he looked really nervous in the pocket, and made alot of bad decisions. It seemed his head wasnt in the game. Now it looks like hes finally put the concussion and everything else behind him and hes playing much improved football.

This has also benefitted Hines Ward
