Ben Roethlisberger is awesome. (1 Viewer)

I know all the talk this year is about Matt Ryan for MVP, and deservedly so with the Falcons at 5-0, but I'd be hard-pressed to find another QB playing as well as Ben is this year. The stats don't necessarily reflect it, but he's playing out of his mind. No one else on the team has even been close in terms of value. If not for Antonio Brown's drop and Cotchery tripping over his own feet at the 2 and going down untouched, he'd have had 2 TD passes yesterday - just goes to show you that #s don't always tell the story.

That is all.

One of the few truly elite NFL QBs today. If Pittsburgh ever managed to get him an offensive line, they'd be the most potent offense in the league.

I said pretty much the same thing in another thread the other day. His QB rating is 100.6, and going into his bye week he had 8td passes and 1 int in 3 games, as well as averaging 300yds passing. Even with no TDs yesterday hes still averaging 2 tds per game (and 277 yds). He's definitely one of the most valuable players to his team but Ryan is really dialed in right now and looks like he's on a mission. We will see if that mission continues in January, but for now he's leading the pack for early MVP votes.

I think Big Ben is about to go nuts. Mendy is back and looking decent, and their schedule is really about to open up.

I drafted Ben late thinking he would throw more with a weaker running game. With Mendy back looking good, not sure how his fantasy numbers will be. Have like them until yesterday...

I would not worry about yesterday's game, honestly. Eagles D has been pretty darn good thus far. With Mendy establishing the run, it bodes well for Big Ben... just look at the remaining schedule.

As EG said, Ben should have had a big day for fantasy owners. That rushing td by Mendenhall could easily (and probably should have been) have been called a pass. Antonio Brown dropped a gift td and Cotchery stumbled over his own feet on a play where he would have walked into the endzone. Also, Ben barely missed Miller on a wide open td. Make no mistake about it, this team will still rely on passing game heavily and Big Ben is the man once they're in the red zone. He's a top 6-7 fantasy qb at worst IMO.

I don't think Mendy returning to form will hurt his numbers, actually will help sustain drives. The only thing that would probably hurt Ben's numbers is the defense returning to vintage form - but doesn't seem to be happening, especially with Polamalu et al banged up.

On the lateral/pass for the Mendenhall TD, Ben totally missed seeing Wallace running wide open across the short middle. No on within 15 yds of him.
