Benching McFadden? (1 Viewer)

Unless I was stacked beyond belief at the position I wouldn't even consider it.
i normally agree, but for me it's a league without PPR and my other option would be Doug Martin @DAL...
Same dilemma McFadden or Martin? Cheatsheets point to Martin. Hot hand points to Martin. Matchup points to Martin.Sooooooooo... I'll probably go against the grain and stick with McFadden even with his slow start, doesn't like FF, new O scheme / line, and poor scoring O, plus teams getting up on The RAAAAAIDERS. He's still a stud!
Im sitting here trying to decide between mcfadden and martin as well...im afraid if I bench mcfadden he goes off

I'm with you. For me it's 2 between Martin, Gore and DMC. Seems like most who are considering benching have Martins nice match up. Someone on the last page said don't be married to a high draft pick but its very tough to sit him only 3 weeks in. It's not like its week 6 and he hasn't had a good game yet. Good luck to everyone

If you're benching one of your first / second round picks, your season may be in trouble.
It's probably the opposite. From what I can tell, most people debating sitting him hit bench gold (Bush, Spiller).
How's that working out for you?
I own DMC in 2 leagues, don't own Bush or Spiller. It's working out amazingly. I don't think you read what I wrote correctly lol.

Thank you McFadden for the long TD, i wish he was able to punch that 2nd one in, but still like what im seeing from him and glad i stuck with him in both leagues i have him in. Hopefully he can keep it up against Denver next week.

I'll admit that even after his long TD run, I was disappointed by his play early on in the game. He looked really good as the game progressed though, especially against a tough defense (even without a few key pieces).

Hopefully this is the turning point for him in the early season.

Great to see the big play and he outperformed my expectations... otherwise, he looked ordinary again in that terrible offense. I still worry about him moving forward.

I started him this week and will win my match-up. But is anyone else concerned with the low yards per carry? The Raiders have played against three good run defenses (SD 4th, MIA 3rd, PIT 15th) but if you take away the 64 yard touchdown run yesterday he ends up under 50 yards on the day. His average is currently 3.8 but excluding the 64 yard run drops it to 2.4 for the year. The Raiders offensive line is really bad and the team ranks 31st in rushing. Will this get any better or am I just being paranoid?

If you take away all of his other runs and only count the 64 yarder then he's averaging 64 yards per carry. Something to think about.

Glad I started him. Helps a lot that Carson Palmer is playing decent ball and the o-line is starting to get in sync with both zone running and pass protection.

Had Ridley in Friday and came to my senses and pluged DMC in Saturday. At least he proved (again) that when healthy he is matchup proof. Sure he can have games where a good D shuts him down but he still can have a great game against a top D as well.

Frustrated McFadden owner here-Is the line that bad or is the adjustment to the new zone blocking scheme the Raiders are trying to get used to? Here's a thought when a new coach comes on the scene. The Raiders were 7th in rushing in 2011 despite the fact that McFadden was injured much of the season. How about some good old "if it ain't broke dont fix it mentality?" Or maybe it is the changes in the o line from last year which I have to admit I'm not real familiar with. Any thoughts on this from the Raider Nation?
