Bengals at Browns (1 Viewer)

I started Gresham this week knowing TJ Ward's thumb is in a cast and D-Pat is out. I was wondering how they would cover Gresham and we just saw.

The Browns had Buster Skrine matched up trying to actually bump Gresham off of the line and Jermaine just brushed him off and blew-by him.

On that interception by Weeden it was a batted ball at the LOS but Weeden sat there frozen like he was asleep as the ball was slowly going up into the air. If he would have had more urgency I think it would have tipped off his O-Linemen but they never looked up.

So a pick and the Bengals score.

Oh and Josh Cooper is the only Browns wide-out with a catch. He looks good for never having played an NFL snap before that play.

71 yard bomb.Double coverage. He lined up in the slot and got by the CB and when he got-by the corner he started to straighten out his route so it looked like he was going to the right sideline but he then went into a post so the safety was caught napping as he was shaded well over to the left side. Gorden bannana'd the route into a post to the left but was already by the safety.Weeden saw something instantly as he stepped up into the pocket and let it go high and hit Gordon perfectly in stride, beautiful.

So the defense was slower?Was it a short pass and run?Was it deep?Did he make a move?Bad coverage?

Maybe a 15 yard pass and run but there was a missed tackle which led to a situation where I though Gresham would score with a least a 10-15 yard buffer but those guys were making up distance on him like crazy. Seemed like every 5 yards he went, the defenders went 10. Strange. I didn't think he was slow.
 
Bengals are doing a great job stuffing the run. They arr focusing on Richardson and with the d-line we have it is working.

Agree that Gresham was comically slow on that TD - he scored based on his upper body strength and stiff-arm ability.

They passed on 3rd and 1 again. Fire the entire staff. They obviously don't understand football and can't learn from their mistakes.

 
The second week in a row we have a 3rd and 1 situation.

Last week our head coach makes the brilliant decision to yank RB Trent Richardson and attempt a pass that was intercepted.

This week?

He keeps in T-Rich but the blocking scheme is to let the DE get lined up on Richardson who blew the block and Weeden gets sacked for the first time in weeks.

Those calls along with the decision to keep trotting out FB Owen Marecic are part of the reason why Shurmur is likely going to get replaced once this season from hell is over.

I'm not sure if anyone has ever brought it up to but you really need to open up more Captain. Say what you mean, let us know how you really feel. Keeping this stuff bottled up like this is not healthy man.
 
What is wrong with this guy? Using Hardesty at the goal line? Not running on 3rd and 1 two weeks in a row? Has a coach ever been fired during a game?

 
Oh and #### you very much Joe Haden, you big eared Adderall taking dolt! Think he would have made a difference in the first four games?

Yeah, I don't get this. BJGE is getting pretty well stuffed in the second half and they have just a 1 point lead. They've been able to chew up huge chunks of yards through the air. Why aren't they throwing more?
