Bengals prefer Julio Jones to AJ Green? (1 Viewer)

I just read that the Bengals would draft Julio Jones over AJ Green because they prefer his blocking skills and work habits. Is this the typical Bengals blunder or is the gap between the two receivers actually that close?

Sure, they've had their mistakes drafting in the past (as every franchise has), but they are historically a pretty good franchise at drafting WRs.

And it's widely known that Julio is a better run blocker than AJ, which is a big deal in the AFC North. After he tore up the combine, I don't see this is a huge shock at all. I'm sure they aren't the only team with Jones above Green (albeit the minority).
Peter Warrick says hello. :boxing: Also their 2 early picks from the 2008 draft have not exactly panned out yet, and it is still WAY too early to tell on Shipley.

Basically they did well in 1 draft, back in 2001, with the 2 teammates from Oregon State.

I guess I'm the only Bengals fan that would like them to try and trade down and take a receiver later. I'd like to see 'em go with Simpson-Caldwell-Shipley. These guys have been lunch-pail and deserve the shot. If they stay in the spot, I'd rather they continue to build the line or if they really don't think they can get JoJo back go with the CB. I also remember the last time we drafted a WR at #4 :(

Come on. How could you forget Isaac Curtis, Pat McInally, Chris Collinsworth and Eddie Brown.

....Carl Pickens.

Green's a diva... Jones isn't. The Bengals are probably sick of divas.
I'm not arguing but link? This is news to me?
I don't know about diva, but he made a really dumb decision selling that merchandise or whatever he did to get suspended, and then proved how dumb he is with his Wonderlic score. That's more of a red flag to me than him being a diva (if he is).
Someone needs to do some WR Wonderlic research. Several of this year's top fantasy WRs scored about where Green did. Let's not act like Jones is a genius either, with his whopping 15.
