Who is the RB to have on the Bengals for the rest of the season? Is Watson now the starter? What kind of numbers can we expect from Watson the rest of the season? What kind of carries split can be expected?
Somewhat off topic here, but does this year represent the demise of Rudi as the closest player to a "sure thing" as there has been in fantasy football for the past 4-5 years?
Anybody think so, or will he bounce back to form next year?
We've done this 50,000 times with 50,000 running backs who came back from injury.49,998 of them came back to be the starter. People were pimping Kenton Keith as the next big thing a few weeks ago.Relax.
Ricky Watters injured...Shaun Alexander took overPriest Holmes injured... LJ took overCorrey Dillon injured..Rudi Johnson took overI can go on, but that 49,998/50,000 does not hold water.

Joseph Addai >>>> Rudi JohnsonKenny Watson might be equal to Rudi in talent, and he's certainly a better option right now in PPR leagues because Rudi couldn't catch crabs in Singapore.
The situation with Dillon and Rudi was more than injury. Dillon was very vocal that he did not want to be in Cincy. It was far more than Dillon's injury that put him on the bench that year.

I believe 2 of those 3 injuries were season ending injuries? And 2 of those 3 players were all at or over the age 30? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is true. Rudi doesn't have a season ending injury, nor is he 30+. I own Rudi and I expect a split for the rest of the season, but I don't see Watson taking that job from him.
I own both so I am not pulling for one over the other for fantasy purposes, but for all you Rudi lovers please watch them both play... If you have watched the Bengals play this year, Watson is clearly the better back at this point in both of their careers. Whether it is due to lingering injury or just wear and tear on Rudi, Watson is clearly the better option for Cincy at this point...
Here's hoping the coaches aren't too close to the situation to realize it!!!
bengals know rudi is on the decline(kenny irons pick) and watson has played well in his stead. can't see them going back rudi- and now throw in chris perry. perry is always hurt but they have always wanted him to step up(and stay healthy). when healthy(lol) perry is a superior version of kenny watson.
