I'll take Denver. Baltimore is unbeaten but their offense flat out stinks. I think Denver could move the ball on them and Shanny won't piss away the wins like marty does whent hey turn to Martyball....he couldn't contain himself when they got up 13-7...it was like a blowout to him...insult the Ravens by taking a safety?!Balt should win this in a runaway.
You are entitled to your opinion Marc but they are 2-2 and lost to the Colts I might add...they aren't even the best team in their division my friend.i voted jax, though the ravens and chargers are playing great ball, too.don't care that the colts are undefeated and the jags are 2-2. The colts don't look very good in their wins and the jags look great even when they've lost.
Den's O has looked pathetic in 2 of 3 games. A totally disinterested and beat up NE team is the only time this O has even had a pulse.I'll take Denver. And Bal has 4 wins while Den has 2, yet you picked Den?Good for the goose . . .You are entitled to your opinion Marc but they are 2-2 and lost to the Colts I might add...they aren't even the best team in their division my friend.i voted jax, though the ravens and chargers are playing great ball, too.don't care that the colts are undefeated and the jags are 2-2. Should be a great game -- for the second straight week, the Ravens get the AFC West's best with two full weeks to prepare. For whatever reason, the Ravens under Billick have owned Shanahan's Broncos. Last year Shanny finally beat Billick for the first time; the 9-3 Broncos beat the 4-8 Ravens, winning 12-10 at home after Boller turned the ball over three times, including two in the red zone.My experience has been that the Broncos' cut-blocking system is ineffective vs. the Ravens, whose defensive philosophy is based on the players retaining their footing at all costs. I think the Ravens will be effective in stopping the Broncos' run, which puts the game in Plummer's hands vs. the Ravens tough D.I'll take Denver. BTW, Denver's offense has looked putrid - Baltimore's offense has come up when needed, but has not been great.Only Jax i splaying like a complete team on both sides of the ball.Yes, they lost in Indie. Like I said, they looked betterin their losses than Indie did in their wins.IMO, Jax is playing better ball than Indie.
They beat the Ravens for 3 3/4 quarters. They were the better team on the field. Unfortunately their coach made some poor decisions, their offense failed to capitolize on mistakes, and their defense came up short one time. They are a better team than the Ravens. Consequently I can see how people would vote for them. If they were to play the Ravens 10 times I'd put them winning 7 of those 10.At this point I think the Colts are still the best team around. I don't think they'll be the best team by the end of the year, though.I answered Ravens, but I wasn't very satisfied with my pick. There's no clear answer, or even clear three answers.
San Diego is a good team, despite the infusion of Martyball late into yesterday's game. They will be a playoff team this year -- bank on it.How is SD even an option yet alone a team getting votes???They missed the playoffs last year. They've beaten the two worst teams in the league this year, and then lost their 3rd game. What about that makes them best in the conference???
They're not. Calm down. How is SD even an option yet alone a team getting votes???They missed the playoffs last year. They've beaten the two worst teams in the league this year, and then lost their 3rd game. What about that makes them best in the conference???
Yes they are. However I also think Pittsburgh, Denver, and San Diego are less impressive than last year. Jacksonville is more impressive this year than last but I never thought they were one of the top 5 AFC teams last year.Anyone else think that the Colts are a far less impressive team overall this year than they were last year? If that defense can't stop the run then they won't last long in the playoffs against their likely opponents.
They wouldn't be my pick either, but I can see the logic. A lot of people here are picking Baltimore, but anyone who watched the game saw how dominant San Diego was over them in pretty much every aspect of that game except the final score. How is SD even an option yet alone a team getting votes???They missed the playoffs last year. They've beaten the two worst teams in the league this year, and then lost their 3rd game. What about that makes them best in the conference???
Steelers [ 6 ] [6.74%]

Is that going to help them? Damon Huard has played very well, and Green was off to a terrible start before his injury.Gr00vus said:ETA: Also at this juncture if possible it'd be nice to see the Chiefs added to the poll. They're playing good ball right now and they're about to get Trent Green back.
If the Colt's defense doesn't change drastically for the better I think at least the Pats, Chargers and Chiefs would beat them if they met in the playoffs. Denver too if Plummer (or Cutler) can get it together. Maybe the Jags if they have a good Jags day instead of a bad Jags day (any team more inconsistent than them right now?).StillAnyone else think that the Colts are a far less impressive team overall this year than they were last year? If that defense can't stop the run then they won't last long in the playoffs against their likely opponents., though Peyton has taken his game to another level. I can tell you with a straight face that I think what we're seeing from Peyton right now is a level of QB play that rivals any QB at any time. His command of the game is simply phenomenal to watch. I still think that that team is living on borrowed time come the playoffs with that defense.
I think the proven vet would be an improvement. I know Huard is looking good right now, but we've seen the Billy Volek show before and I think we're seeing it again here. The real story is that the Chief's offensive line is returning to form via player additions and improving health. I think Green behind that line will be a step up.Is that going to help them?
