Simply put, which player has had the best career through the end of 2009?
It's possible that I'm missing some that are worthy of consideration but I doubt any I'm missing any that would win the #1 poll.
Some of these choices won't get any consideration but I thought they were worth listing. These are either statistical leaders or have played an important role in winning games for their team(s).
After some thought, I prefer if you vote for a player in each category.
In the first poll, we determine who the winner of each category is.
In the next poll we'll determine who the total winner from the last poll is.
Use any criteria you want. Stats, wins, Super Bowl Championships, your subjective opinion, what his coaches said, impact on the game, etc.
ETA: I've never editted a poll before, let's see how this works. The 4th choice here is to determine out of our top vote getters who the #1 guy really is. If this works, I'll keep this method - if it's overly confusing, I won't.
I may very well start over from scratch tonight.
