I tried to include all the favorites.

My vote: tough call between Grinch, Lorax, and Horton, but Horton wins out. Good suspense, great characters all the way through.

Hop on Pop for me... because I miss my dad, and because my kids still love to hop on pop.

Go Dog Go too (even if it's PD Eastman and not officially Dr Seuss).

So at some point long ago, my brother had to call the Seuss estate/company to get permission to do a play, or use his words in a play... something like that. My brother is trying to figure out how to word his question as the phone rings... "hello- Theodor Geisl speaking". Dr Seuss answered his own phone- on the first ring- and apparently couldn't have been nicer. talked to my brother about all manner of things- mostly related to children's theater- for about half and hour.

Sneetches. Great messages in that one.

That book also has the many Daves which is an instant laugh for young kids.

Hop on pop because I would like to go back in time and hop on my pops nuggets and crush them so I wont be born

The Butter Battle Book :moneybag:
Too propaganda-ey
After the Banh Mi sugar bowl offensive the Hamburger buns achieved a complete victory but the media back at the cupboard ruined morale and support for the war. Either way the battle would havee gone on indefinitely because there were no clear victory conditions.

The lesson learned is that despite superior sesame seeds you cant fight people intent on winning through a guerrilla war among the pots and pans.

This was something the croissant's learned long ago.

Its terrible that the returning buns were just left to go stale and moldy by the toaster government.

I voted One Fish, Two Fish ...

though my boss gave me Oh, The Things You Can Think after I finished my doctorate last spring (which went well with the single malt that was also included).

Green Eggs and Ham leading in votes.
Because it's a masterpiece. From what I understand it was a writing exercise for him, wrote a while book whole only using 50 different words. Its brilliant, and has this great rhythm to it, it's my favorite to read to my kids IMO

Oh The Places You'll Go was my favorite to read to my kids. But my son loved the Grinch. I think I still know most of it by heart.

I must have read Green Eggs and Ham 500 times in my life. Used to read it to my kids every night before bed. It's a great story about prejudice, perseverance, and realizing you might not have everything figured out.
