Best draft spot? (1 Viewer)

"There is no spoon"

Honestly, there really is no "perfect" draft spot. Depending on how your draft is developing, any spot is good, especially after the 3rd-4th round.

I agree with this, but for the early rounds it does matter. Would you rather have LT2, a WR1 and RB2, or Bush, a RB1, and WR1-2????

anyone with some input?

I was thinking that the #7 spot in a PPR dynasty would be optimal. 1-3 is LT, SJ, LJ. you are going to be able to get Bush, Gore, Addai, or AP. I have them all on the same tier and this is where I see the biggest drop off in the 1st round. On the turn you should be able to get another solid #1 RB like Rudi, Portis, or MJD.

Thoughts?

Either #1 or #2. LT and SJax are so amazingly far ahead of the rest of the field that the dropoff between them and #3 overall is greater even than the dropoff between #2.01 and #2.12. I'd rather have 1.01 and 2.12 than 1.03 and 2.01, and it's not even close.

I'm sure someone else can provide the numbers showing how huge the top performers really are, or how much less likely the top picks are to bust than even the mid-1st round picks, I'd just like to emphasize that getting the #1 or #2 pick really is a CRUSHING advantage compared to the rest of the league. Run some mock drafts in the draft dominator and check out which teams are always listed as the strongest teams in the league, and it's always going to be the teams with the first two picks. If you're drafting at the end of the 1st, you're spending the rest of the draft playing catchup.

Are rookies combined or separate? If they're separate and the 12th pick gets the top rookie pick, it makes a huge difference.

Otherwise, I'd go right down the line. 1 is best, 12 is worst. It's the third round where those early picks make a killing.

The higher the better, if you dont use the Banzai Method.

A bonus to the end (#12) over the two picks (#10, #11) right before it. For the double shots later on.

I ended up drawing the #3 draft choice in my start up dynasty league. I decided to take the #5 pick.

It worked out perfect! I was able to draft Bush 1.5, S.Smith 2.8, and Benson 3.5
