Best episode of any TV show of all time? (1 Viewer)

Lots of great episodes over the years. Wondering what the best of the best are though. In no order, this is a few of what I've always considered to be the best.

Wonder Years -- Birthday Boy (Bar Mitzvah episode)

Seinfeld -- The Betrayal (India episode that moves backward in time)

The Office -- Threat Level Midnight

Scrubs -- My Musical ("It's guy love..." episode)

Lost -- Finale (It's all a dream episode)

I don't know that it was the best ever, but it caught me off guard with how choked up I got: The Futurama episode with Fry's dog.

The Wire - Season 3 Epi- 11

The Sopranos - Pine Barrens

Happy Days episodes with Leather Tuscadero, AKA Suzi Quatro, the inspiration for The Runaways and Joan Jett.

She was soooooo coool... I was in  with her.

So I can see putting The Office & Lost on the list if you really enjoy the shows, but come on now.

Office take Niagara (the wedding). Lost take Through the Looking Glass (introduction of the flashforward).

And I'll add a nod to the 24 Season 1 Finale.

Any random episode of The Simpsons from Season 3 to Season 7 is better than anything on your list.

Someone's going to nominate "Once More With Feeling", Buffy the Vampire Slayer's musical episode ... so it might as well be me. Sounds cheesy, but it's actually pretty impressive.

Actually... after further deliberation, I decided to change my vote to the Hawaii Brady Bunch with Vincent Price and the Tarantula.

The West Wing: "Somebody's Going To Emergency, Somebody's Going To Jail"

I second "Scott Tenorman Must Die" for South Park. My Seinfeld pick is "The Marine Biologist", just ahead of "The Contest".

Going old school: The Mary Tyler Moore Show: "Chuckles Bites the Dust". And, in my mind, the best "episode" of The Honeymooners aired as part of The Jackie Gleason Show, the episode "This Is Your Life".

:goodposting: I was coming in to post these twoI'd add Dexter Season 4 Episode 9 Hungry Man (the Thanksgiving episode). I am only through season 4 but this was my favorite episode yet. And the last 4 of season 4 may be the best 4 show stretch ever.

Fred & LaMont being duped into smuggling diamonds out of Hawaii was good too.

If you turn on a Simpsons rerun, and you see "Producer: Conan O'Brien" in the opening credits, sit down and watch 'cause it's gonna be awesome. But if I had to pick just one, "Last Exit to Springfield" is pretty great. ("Dental Plan! Lisa needs braces!")

Office -- where Michael had a roast

Agree with Sopranos Pine Barren episode

Curb your Enthusiasm -- huge vag1na episode

Other good ones:

Family Ties where Alex's friend (who was never mentioned before) dies

Diffrent Strokes child molesting episode

At some point, I'll bet the phrase YOU BIG DUMMY!!! was said during this episode. :lmao:

This was my other thought but you know, Hush is better because it's hard to have good writing without writing.

Partial to the episode in Cheers where Sam recruits Kevin McHale to team up with Woody and beat Gary's Old Town Tavern's 'ringers'.

Also, the episode of Seinfeld where Jerry forgets his girlfriends name is up there for me.

And who can forget the episode of 90210 featuring the Flaming Lips!

Twin Peaks season 1 episode 2 "Zen, or the Skill to Catch a Killer"

Something from Lost season 1 or 2.

Something from The Wire season 3.

The episode where Jack says "We've got to go back"....(end of season 3?)

that one was awesome. The last one? ehhh..not so much.

The West Wing: "Somebody's Going To Emergency, Somebody's Going To Jail"
So many from TWW IMO...Season 1 finale, in the Shadow of 2 Gunmen and its finishing part to begin season 2 was incredible. Got me watching the show religiously.
