Best OTC Anti-Infammatory (1 Viewer)

I am going on a shooting trip where I will potentially be firing 1000s of shotgun shells/day. Previous attendees have highly recommended taking OTC anti-inflammatory medication prior to and during the trip. Any recommendations for this application? Alleve? Aspirin? Ibuprofen? Other?

If you're going to be taking a bunch of it multiple days in a row, rotate Alleve and ibuprofen. It will not only be easier on your liver/kidneys, it will also keep your body from adapting to one medication and making it less effective.

For me personally, Alleve works better for joint pain while ibuprofen works better for muscle soreness and headaches.

Also, what the heck are you doing where you're shooting thousands of rounds of shotgun shells a day!?

If you are good about taking medications on schedule ibu requires taking 3 times a day. However, it tends have less problems for people with gastrointestinal problems like upset stomach and ulcers then Alieve (Naproxen).

Both medications work well as an NSAID, but you have to stay on the same medication for a couple of days to help injuries such as tendinitis. Some people find one formula maybe more beneficial then another.
