Betts (1 Viewer)

Betts will get the start with Pierre inactive. Is he worth a start vs Carolina or will Ivory and Wynn take too many carries away?

I'm considering him over Bradshaw based on matchup....anyone else considering him today?

I picked him up and will give him a roll. Although my other choices were Steven Jackson (iffy), Marion Barber and Felix Jones (bye) and Jerome Harrison (horrible). Hoping for decent results and perhaps a gift TD.

Per Espn: Betts is starting; it doesn't matter though,he'll probably split with Ivory. He'll get most of the work on passing downs, so in a PPR league he's worth a shot if you don't have any other options. I'm rolling with him because I have AP, (bye) PT (inactive), and Moreno (inactive).

I think so, especially in ppr leagues. Dodds has him at 16th and I think that's a legitimate ranking. I think he catches 4-5 balls at least, giving him automatic value.

FWIW I'm starting him in 2 leagues. One ppr over Steven Jackson (because I think Betts is the more "sure thing") and at flex in a non-ppr over Ricky Williams and Nate Washington

The way I look at it: you have to assume Pierre Thomas is back next week or at worst in two weeks. But Reggie Bush is out for another 5-6.

So, is Betts or Ivory the more valuable guy to have? Which guy gets more of Bush's carries? And is Betts starting largely because he's more reliable as a blocker for Brees, but Payton plans on having Ivory do most of the actual running?

Confused.

Ivory just fumbled at the CAR 23. No matter how well he runs, he'll sit down as long as he keeps fumbling like he did last week and now this week. You just can't keep turning it over like that.

You will rarely see a less forced fumble than that one. No ball security.
