Big Ten Basketball 2022/2023 - Return to Power (3 Viewers)

I'm ready right now.Kansas just lost at home, as if the stakes needed get any higher.
 What does the Kansas game have to do with the B1G??
Rankings...UM #1, KU #2, IU #3...hth
It doesn't Who gives a crap what the rankings are? This isn't the crappy CFB system
I think what he was referring to is, if IU wins, they should go to #1. Not sure I can explain it much clearer.

Thanks for trying I guess?

Watford was huge for IU tonight. Zeller/Oladipo will get a lot of accolades (deservedly), but IU doesn't win that without Wat's double-double.

Michigan showed great composure up until the last couple of minutes. Pretty tough for college kids to win in that atmosphere on the road. Burke is just a beast, Hardaway is much improved from last year, and that giant white guy down low plays tough. IU's remaining schedule is brutal so they prolly are going to get at least another 2 L's but if they don't make Final Four this year is a disappointment.

Good win for IU.That Big Ten Tournament is going to be awfully fun.M has a brutal 3 game stretch now - v Ohio, at WI, at MSU. They need to go 2-1 and they will be ok.

I remember for a lot of years in the 90s-00s that UM always had great talent, but you could always count on a dumb play late in the game (bad shot, unforced TO). Then they hired Bielein and I figured those days were done based on how his WV teams always played. But then Burke took a really bad looking 3 - very deep, very early in the clock - and I said to myself, "There it is."(This was before the 3-pointer/FT parade at the end - maybe the one with about 4 minutes left.)

This Michigan team is still far better coached than any Michigan team in the past. Burke may be getting a big head from all the hype of being the best player in the country. But this game was a abnormality. Beilein will right the ship and Burke will work to get the other players more involved. He still had 8 assists, but it is not a good sign that he took so many shots.

Oladipo dunked the ball with still a few tenths on the clock after both teams conceded. It was a show boat move. But why what rule did the basket not count?

I don't mind the loss. There's usually more teaching opportunity in a loss than a win. Coach B will coach them up. I don't honestly care about much of what's left of the regular season. I'm ready for the B1G tournament and NCAA tournament to see how they progress. It's hard for me to remember that this is a team of underclassmen.

Wisconsin doing well so far. Huge game for them because I still feel like the Big 10 doesn't get more than 6 in.

6 is the floor. The question will be if Illinois or Iowa can finish strong and make a 7th. But the wheels have fallen off the Illini. Iowa needs a couple of big wins down the stretch.

Hard time seeing Illini getting in with their remaining schedule. 1-4 at home in conference so far. Home loss to Northwestern gonna sting. They just have nothing inside whatsoever.

Coaches poll.....1. Indiana, 3. Michigan, 8. Michigan State, 10. Ohio State, 18. Minnesota. It won't last though. All have games against each other, so they will be at least 3 losses in that group. No other top 20 team faces a top 20 opponent.

I am in awe of the dominance as a conference. Certainly better than any B1G collection I can remember, and rivals any other conference powerhouses in my history... maybe an ACC group that was as good in the past, but I'm sure it's close.Friggin' AWESOME!B1G Tourney may be more well stocked than this year's Sweet16 :D

Yea that can't be right. Duke doesn't play Miami again? Kansas/Kansas State? All the Big East teams?
I think he means THIS WEEK.All of the ranked B1G teams play one of the others before the next rankings come out on Monday. There are no other matchups of top-20 teams this week.

There are a couple involving top-20 vs top-25 teams (#23 Pitt, #25 ND).
