Big Ten Basketball 2022/2023 - Return to Power (3 Viewers)

Bad loss for indiana, but Northwestern at home is no give me. Indiana needs to win one of two at home to get solidly in, otherwise could move to the bubble. Will probably get the dreadful 8th/9th seed and play UK round 2 (I guess it is round three now with the stupid play in games).

This should never be acknowledged.

Good win Minny.

We probably played our way out of the tourney right there. We have to win the next three.

Izzo will never guard the inbounds or foul when we are up three late, seconds left. Never has never will, and it has cost us pretty much every time.

I wonder how many more times it has to bite us before the obvious is realized. Incredible.

Ugly loss at home. :X

We wont beat Wisconsin, that's pretty much for sure, but unfortunately I think we need to, to erase the 3 horrible home losses come Tourney committee time.

Absolutely have to get the others as wins or its hello NIT.

I think the Spartans would be in easily with 11 total losses, probably even 12. But yeah, to be safe, it would be good to win 2 out of the last 3.

Izzo and his stubbornness cost MSU another game. Time to change your ways old man. I get not fouling with 12 seconds left but when it got below 5 yeah you foul.

2 losses vs Maryland and Minny are on him.

Also Schilling is worthless I dont think I have ever seen a player digress as much as he has.

Trice can hit 3's falling down but chokes on the FT line

Agree. 'Zel also causes many stupid turnovers that turn into points on the other end, yet can hit the 3 practically blindfolded.

Havent been this frustrated after a loss in a long while. This team is probably the worst Ive seen at defending the Breslin homecourt advantage.

Unbelievable about the 3 different 3-point shooting fouls too, especially the one at the end. That's just undisciplined play.

Nice game by the Terps on Senior Day. Got the senior walk-ons in for 33 seconds at the end, although they disappointed the crowd by passing up a couple open shots in favor of running the clock out. Like Graham did against Penn St., Smotrycz stepped up against his former team, grabbing nine rebounds and playing nice defense.

Big games for Illinois and Iowa today, although they both do have one more chance for a good road win next week. Still, Illinois absolutely cannot afford a home loss to Northwestern.

Michigan has some really nice pieces. Something's missing, though I can't quite put my finger on what it might be.

How many freaking layups did Maryland miss today?

I'm not sure Terps fans appreciate how important FT shooting is for this year's team. I'm too lazy to check, but I bet there have been 3 or 4 games they'd have lost if they only shot 70% from the line in that particular game.

It was quiet, but Graham had a nice, busy game inside for Maryland.

Yesterday may have been "taking care of business" Saturday, with a clear favorite and only one tourney team/hopeful in each game, but today gets very down and dirty. A lot at stake for some of the conference heavyweights.

With Gonzaga going down, Wisconsin looks like a #1 seed if they can win out, right? Kentucky has one wrapped up, and Nova probably gets one if they run the table. Right now, Duke and Virginia could both lay claims to the other two, but at least one of them is going to lose another game. If Duke loses in the ACC tourney, that would be a real question for the committee: Duke's head-to-head win at Wisconsin, versus a better record overall plus conference regular season and tourney titles.

If Purdue can pull this one out, they should be ranked, no? They are looking pretty damn good in all facets of the game on both ends of the floor.

If Purdue could only shoot free throws and drive the ball...

Pass it around the three point line and hope Hammons can get open, every time. Ugh.

Something we all can agree on.

Big game in Indiana tonight. Are all the beams secure or are you guys gonna drop another one to delay the game? ;)

Twerps at Rutgahs tonight. I know the Knights have seemed to have fallen off a cliff since beating Wisconsin, but MD doesn't have a non-close win in a long time. Going in full of themselves probably isn't the wisest move. I think a win tonight clinches at least 2nd in the B1G tourney.

Completely shocked that Crean can't figure out how to effectively attack a zone defense.
That's his Izzo coaching tree heritage. State can't handle it either.
Can't put Crean and Izzo in the same sentence. Crean seems like a nice guy but I can't stand watching his team anymore. He has one strategy per game. When it doesn't work oh well.

Exactly how State has been coached this year. I'm one of the biggest Izzofans, however, over the past few seasons it seems he has refused to adapt more and more to changes during games. Cream just going on what he learned here in east Lansing.

Haven't heard anything bad about him other than he's a bit weird.

yeah izzo sort of owns crean i think i saw that crean is like 1 and 7 against mi state bromigos
Yup. Take it to the bank Brohan. Hoosiers won a few years ago in East Lansing and the look on Crean's face was like "how did that happen".

This has run it's course; Crean has to go.

The 2015 version of "annual surprising and/or questionable transfers" is coming as well. At this point, I wouldn't be shocked if Blackmon decided to try out a new system/coach.

Dez does what Dez does. That about sums it up for tonight. Melo didn't have a great game, but Dez and Layman did.

Hoosiers. Oof. Indiana needs a win so badly at this point.

Cream ' record against Bo is even worse.

He is 4-8 vs Northwestern too...

Great win Hawkeyes. 5 in a row since the northwestern loss. Revenge game up next. Two game bye in B10 tourney??
 That was a big win for the Hawkeyes. It would be nice to get the two game bye for the B10 tourney.

I missed the first half of the game, I was at work, however I did catch the 2nd half and the Hawkeyes were playing great basketball in the 2nd half.

Indiana had a guy who was a lottery pick last year and did not even make the NIT. Now he has three guys who will probably get drafted late round one in the next couple of years, and may not make the tournament. Despite having shown the ability to develop players, he sucks actually coaching them as a team.
