Big Ten Basketball 2022/2023 - Return to Power (1 Viewer)

Tough to win on the road in the B1G. That was a war today at MD. Happy State escaped with a win of any kind. MD is for real and even though his shots weren't all falling for him today, that Jahmir Young is one helluva player.

The Terps got so far behind so early, they ran out of gas at the end. Maryland needed that win badly.

That's typically MSU's issue, down early. So far the last month or so they've started out quicker. Who knows how long this trend will last.

Big Ten games tonight:

7:00, BTN: Wisconsin @ Minnesota. Hopefully Minnesota pushes Wisconsin, perhaps multiple OT’s to wear them out for Friday. I could see Minnesota’s front line giving Wisconsin some problems.

7:00, Peacock: OSU @ Nebraska. Should be a close game. Ohio State really needs a win tonight. 3 of the next 4 are on the road. The home game is against Illinois. They already dropped road games to Penn State, Michigan, and Indiana. Ohio State is still in the mix for a tourney bid but getting to 10 wins could be a struggle.

9:00, Peacock: Michigan @ Purdue. Can UM prevent a 30 point drubbing?

Games tonight

7:00 - Maryland @ Iowa. BTN. Can Maryland bounce back on the road?

9:00 - Illinois @ Northwestern. BTN. Can Northwestern pull off another upset this season?

Jahmir Young hits the game winner over Iowa with 1.5 seconds left. Onions

Man I hope Lance Jones can light it up like this come tourney time.
Jones makes this team so much better compared to last year.
I was thinking the same thing last night.
Ivey was certainly fun to watch but he forced shots and took too many wild drives to the basket that came up empty.
You mean like Smith and Loyer do? I think it must be part of Painter's training manual. I agree with the upgrade Jones brings, and if I am being honest, Smith and Loyer have settled a little compared to last year.

The Boilers were damn lucky to get a home win over Northwestern tonight.
Seemed like Jones and Gillis were the only guys that came to play. Edey was the difference at the end of the game and OT but if he had played better and hit better than 40% at the line early in the game it wouldn’t have been so close.
I hope they don’t have to face NW in the B1G tournament cause I doubt they will beat them.

Smith was pretty incredible running the show!

Too bad Northwestern can’t play the rest of the league like they play Purdue. Berry and Boo were just ridiculous from behind the arc. Interesting to see what will happen with Collins at the end of the game.

Boo made some great passes and hit a few almost Curry like long ones. Would have been fun to watch against anybody but Purdue.
I was impressed that Collins gathered his composure long enough to shake Painter’s hand and congratulate Edey.

Purdue's 46 free throws to NW's 8 - that's something you don't see very often. He was pretty animated getting booted but his postgame comments were tame and reasonable. I didn't see the game so have no idea as to the reffing and FT disparity.

This is pretty easy to explain. He dared this outcome to happen. He explicitly said before the game they were going to foul. They had 20 fouls to use and they were going to use them.

They also took 27 three pointers. Add those two up and there you go.

IND @ tOSU @ 7PM Pcock Can tOSU get a must needed win.
