Biggest dooshpickle - Cowherd or Harbaugh? (1 Viewer)

Gee, I wonder why a smart, successful company like ESPN would keep a guy on the air for over 10 years if he's so horrible?

Yeah, because no one that sucks at their job hangs around.

Now seems like a decent time to point out that Harbaugh used to call in through the listener line on the Jim Rome Show before he got into coaching. He participated in the smack-off in the late 90s. So maybe Cowherd is partly to blame here.

Because there's a lot...A LOT...of stupid people in America?

College coaching is about recruiting. Cowherd was giving him a chance to sell his program and Harbaugh didn't come across well. The guy needs to lighten up. He should talk to Bo Pelini.
Cowherd was doing his guest, whom he presumably asked to be on his show a favor?

I only heard a few of the questions and it sounded like a lot of misunderstanding was going on. Certainly on the "buy" vs "bye" week question, but even on other questions like when does he start game planning. I think Cowherd meant for week one, when do you actaully start planning and I think Harbaugh thought he was talking about introducing the system as a whole as a new coach.

Overall, obviously a crap interview, but its getting way too much attention IMO.

Cowherd = intentionally annoying for ratings

Harbaugh = borderline insane
As a Michigan fan, I believe Harbaugh is certifiably nuts, but he's very good at what he does, and for as long as he coaches the Wolverines, it'll be a wild ride.

If you go to YouTube and watch the old Costas shows with Letterman, Dave points out that he expects the guest to come prepared with some good material. It's not the interviewer's responsibility.

In this case, Harbaugh had a lot of short "I don't know" type of answers. That's on him.

They both seem like pretentious divas that are argumentative and self-centered in general. They also have that "smarter, better than you" attitude and like embarrass others to prove it.

However, in this instance Harbaugh was by far the biggest doosh. From the first question, he was a condescending ****. Cowherd did a good job keeping his cool and came off professionally when he had enough and told Harbaugh why.

Painful video

Is Harbaugh just messing with him or just dumb?
SOME PEOPLE DON'T LIKE TO SHARE THEIR SECRETS TO SUCCESS
I saw an old Dilbert cartoon where Dogbert gave Ratbert advice on being successful, and in the past panel, his thought bubble read, "Beware the advice of successful people, they do not seek company."

Finally listed to it. Wasn't as bad as I thought from the comments here. Harbaugh sounded distracted. Like I would if I was getting a hummer while doing a radio interview. The confusion of the buy/bye thing was funny, and I think Harbaugh was ready to get defensive at that point.

Does Cowherd always do the rapid-fire questions like that? Seems like he could have given a distracted Harbaugh more time to expand on some things instead of giving the "Yeah" <Next Question>.. I'm not a Harbaugh fan.

This pretty much nails it. Cowherd reminds me of an antagonistic jerry seinfeld on meth. Obnoxious voice, terrible lines of questioning, and not nearly as clever as he thinks he is with all the pregnant pauses and such.

Harbaugh makes Belichick look like the most interesting man in the world.
