Word from my inside sources say that starting thursday and continuing on Friday there was a big shouting match involving T.O. Bill Parcells is done with him, he doesn't care if T.O. gets 2 passes thrown at him a game.

You may have heard Mark Schlereth say this on AM950 yesterday with me, Scott Hastings, and Alfred Williams. I don't know who his guys are, but my guys are telling me the same thing.

The question now becomes, will T.O. even finish the season?

I don't think there is anyone seriously surprised by this. Parcells can't concentrate 100% on the team if he is doing nothing but fielding T.O. questions and/or concerns from media etc.. What impact T.O. may have had is negatively influenced by the contant media circus that surrounds him. I think you have to cut ties if possible.

Heard this yesterday Cecil! I love Schlereth, he always tells it like it is.

Is there any team crazy enough to trade for T.O.?

You are tossing a lot of cash out of the window though.....

I guess you have to decide if it is worth it then. I personally believe the media circus that is T.O.'s life is nothing but a huge distraction for the team and its coaches. There may be a team willing to trade, but it doesn't look promising. Perhaps this will blow over and he and the Cowboys will have a successful season. It doesn't look good though.

Why WOULDN'T Oakland trade for him :)
Moss for T.O.? or something else?
Moss and TO togetherWhat a happy family!!!THEN you bring in Jeff George.Things can still work out, but TO is a WR that needs alot of attention, going to a HC that is known for not utilizing the WR in the way Owens would like to be utilized.

I don't get the speculation of trading to the Falcons - I don't recall the Falcons even making a serious attempt to sign him in the off-season. Why would they trade for him now?

HANoi wish...no team that doenst have a bonafide QB is going to mess w/ TOTO to the falcons? I dont think mora junya is that crazy - but dang do the falcons need a stud wr..and aQB - ha!
falcons dont need recievers..they need a qb who can hit their wrs first but that org stated before they want no part of him

it's just the TO vs Haley deal, and you're way late on this. I noticed you didn't say BP vs TO, just a shouting match...

"Bill Parcells is done with him, he doesn't care if T.O. gets 2 passes thrown at him a game."

BP has always felt this way, all he cares about is winning. if TO helps him win, I guarantee they get him more than 2 passes.

I asked if this was TO v Haley, and according to Stink/my sources it was not. This is more TO drama that the Cowboys don't need. Jerry Jones must be gripping right now.

What's the point of speculating what team might be interested in trading for Terrell Owens at this point?

WHY THE HELL would ANY TEAM want to trade for him? Give up ANYTHING for him? If Owens can't make this work, I have to think that EVERY GM would use a shred of common sense and realize that they cannot bring this guy into their organization. OK, maybe I just hope that every GM would think this way.

So tired of all this.

He is a malignant cancer and needs to hook up with Dr. Kovorkian instead of relying on his publicist to do the job! T.O. can't do anything right

TO wants an offense centered around him, and I'm sure there is some desperate team willing to do that. It can be pretty successful. Eagles a couple back, the Panthers right now with Steve Smith, and a couple more teams out there. They've been pretty good right?

This is bound to turn into a showdown between Parcells and Jones. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being an ultimatum set by Parcells to cut T.O. or he quits.

Seriously.

Let's see if we can put this into perspective using emoticons...

I need to separate the posts to get all the emoticons in.

Nice Wheelhouse, I'd only add that there were some San Fran fans laughing at Philly before that part of the soap opera began, too.

But, this is very similar to what happened at Philly. Now, many people look back and say that TO and Philly split because of what TO said about Favre/McNabb. But in fact that was just the last straw in what had been an ongoing situation. That's the same kind of thing that appears to be going on in Dallas. It's no one issue that is so bad, but repeated issues, every week, until the coach/team says enough.

But this should help TO's career as an author. I'm looking forward to his new book, "Little T Learns to Speak Canadian". :P

I'll try a few:

TO yells at position coach after being berated by coach as a late arrival to practice

TO scores long TD vs HOU in 1st Q to ignite team in route :suds:

Team comes together and starts playing for keeps week end and week out. :hifive:

PHI comes to town in DEC with the division lead on the line. 10-155-2TDs DAL 34, phi 10 :towelwave:

phi fans.... :kicksrock: :help:

It could happen just as easily as the alternative. I believe that's why PHI first and now DAL has rolled the dice with the guy. The risk vs reward is too hard to ignore. Without him you probably don't have the talent to win the NFC. With him playing at his best you do have the talent. So you swing for the fences and go for it. Only time will tell and this is week 6. We have to let it play out, either way. :coffee:

I agree wholeheartedly that the Cowboys saw the risk/reward ratio and decided to take a chance. They were hoping that T.O. would have learned from his experience last year and have the intelligence to keep his mouth shut, be a good teammate, and be an awesome wide receiver. The thing is, it has not happened. He is doing all of the things that he's done in SF and Philly. At this point, the Cowboys can cut bait and rely on the talent of J.Jones, T. Glenn, Whitten, ect, and try to make a run, or let the Owens drama play itself out and divide the team. Everyone has seen how this ends. It's not a mystery.Philly went from the best team in the division, to the worst last year. Now, TO's gone, and they're back in first.I know for sure that Jerry Jones is not a smart football guy, but Parcells is. I doubt that he's going to sit back and watch what is happening and let it continue.

(Post DAL/PHI game)

Media: TO this, TO that, TO this, etc. :pics:

Parcells: No TO talk, let's talk about our upcoming game :hot:

TO: Just give me the ball and we'll win :fro:

Parcells: Enough! He goes or I go! :hot:

PHI fans: :lmao:

DAL:  :bag:

TO: What?

With TO gone, Terry Glenn will see a huge up in targets. Her value will only go up.

I agree. The Cowboys should cut ties with the media. Then they could get TO more involoved in the game plan and win more games. The media has been more of a distraction than TO to the Cowboys this season. TO is a media magnet, so if the media was not allowed around Cowboys practices then that would be one less distraction for TO. The media should definately not be allowed around Cowboys practices and training facilities.

Call me crazy but I doubt there are many coaches/GMs out there that will jump at the chance to build their offense around a 34 year old receiver who hates everybody, trusts nobody, and may or may not have tried to off himself a couple of weeks ago. Maybe it's just me.

(The sure to come press conference)

DAL:

Media: :pics:

TO: Just throw me the ball :fro:

Rosenhaus: Next question :bowtie:

DAL: Stop the insanity! :wall:

as an eagles homer BAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
*Minor Rant*See, I don't get all y'all Eagle fans. You knew what you were getting. It's like dating a cheerleader; you gotsta get down but you ain't surprised when she leave's you for the QB. Not Philly fan; Philly fan goes all "T.O. Broke Our Hearts and Dissed us; we need revenge!" Meanwhile Niner fans are the true sufferers. This punk is drafted by the best team in the NFL over the last 20 years and treats us like a sack of potatoes. Yes my Philly friends, it is us who are the ones who have been truly dissed. You knew what you were getting.*Rant Over*

I think they need one good game with TO involved and the media will lighten up. When they lose it's like they just lost the Super Bowl. I admit this thing could go either way, but winning cures all. I don't think PHI wins that game if it was in Dallas. Does anybody else?

If this is true, things should lighten up after Sunday. Cowboy fans should thank their lucky stars that Houston is on the schedule this week.As for last week's game, home field would have made a difference, but until Dallas can figure out a way to keep the Eagles defense out of Bledsoe's face, they are going to have a tough time, regardless of where the game is played.

They very well might have won seeing as how they were in the red zone before Bledsoe threw the pick. DAL drove right down the field with the game in reach. PHI couldn't get a 1st down when needed. I say TO is doing ok. Yes he has been a distraction but he seems to say the right things in his press conferences. Besided, he has $25 million reasons to be a team player....right?

TO: What?
My favorite one. It's so true. The "I'm totally innocent act" is what makes the very naive still take his side. If TO cares about his career, and I don't think he does, he cuts the media off completely, today. No more. Other athletes have done it. He needs to. Anything else isn't just stupid, it's being a terrible teammate. To which, of course, he would respond:TO: What?
