**Bills at Steelers**(+3, 46) 4:25 (23 Viewers)

Broderick Jones was put on IR, and while he's not a good LT, that's still not good news facing Rousseau and Bosa. I'm expecting to see Rodgers picking himself off the ground a lot in this one. I think the Bills run D steps up a little in this one, it looked a bit improved with Shaq Thompson back last week, I could see some big runs, but I don't see the ground game having sustained success like some other Bills opponents have had. If the Steelers win, this needs to be a big game for DK Metcalf. The Bills can be had outside.

Bills are down both starting OTs, which is bad news facing TJ Watt, and its not like the starting interior was in great shape agaisnt Cam Heyward, and Dalton Kincaid feels unlikely to be back this week, and Brandin Cooks is suddenly both on the team, and possibly going to be the #3 WR instantly, with Samuel on IR, Moore cut, and Coleman presumably still in the doghouse. Despite ALL that, I still like the Bills offense in this game. I think James Cook can run on this defense, both sustained runs and big chunks, and I think Josh Allen will still make plays, both air and ground.

Bills allow 146 yards per game on the ground.
Steelers allow 104 yards per game on the ground.

Only part of this take I disagree with. Rodgers is gimpy and I think they hand it off early and often to both Gainwell and Warren with some success.

I'm not saying the Bills will shut down the run, but I think that Bills run D number is a little inflated by giving up 170+ yard games to Derrick Henry, Bijan Robinson, and De'Von Achane. I think elite RBs tear up Buffalo, the Steelers aren't that.

Sean Tucker also had a huge game, but that was really just 3 plays, 2 of which were Tristan Wirfs opening holes you could drive a van through without touching anyone. Steelers OL isn't that good.

Conversely, I think the Steelers run D is worse than that number indicates. The only RB on Cook's level they faced was Jonathan Taylor, and I don't see Josh Allen having a "bad" Daniel Jones game. They gave up 100+ yard games to Breece Hall, Kenneth Walker, Kimani Vidal, and Chase Brown twice.

So what you are really saying is I should start Woody Marks over Jaylen Warren? (Did I just turn this into a WDIS thread?)

I'd honestly call that a toss up. I'd probably still lean Warren, but its like 51-49.

51 points in full PPR or half PPR? ;)

Rodgers “gimpyness”, aside from his age, is on his non throwing hand. His big issue has been dumping the ball off too quickly or abandoning the pocket too soon.

With the Bills both starting OTs out, the Steelers defense should be able to bring outside pressure but they usually don’t get pressure up the middle. The Steelers secondary is also vulnerable across the middle and Allen will take full advantage of that.

I expect Cook to have a big day, easily putting up 100, and Allen is going to gouge the Steelers on the ground as well.

The Steelers D has got to generate a few turnovers for the Steelers to have any chance. The offense needs a big day from Gainwell and Warren to keep Allen off the field as well.

I’ll be at the game with a buddy from Buffalo so it would be especially nice to pull out a victory but I just don’t see Allen losing this game coming off a loss and having a long week to prepare.

Both teams have their issues and need a win here
I'd take Allen over Rogers late in the game to make a play or two
I think this is one of those games where Josh "wills" his team to victory
So I'll say...

Bills- 27

Steelers- 23

Hard to figure out what this Bill’s team is this year. Inconsistent play doesn’t bode well in the NFL and I could see a Steelers upset here if they can get pressure on Allen.

His gimpyness is on his non throwing hand yes, but reports are he’s not taking very many snaps under center. And I can imagine it will affect his game some. Whether is being hesitant to do things or trying to get the ball out too quick to avoid hits.

That’s been Rodgers problem for his last 4 or 5 starts

I forgot A-Aron is going to throw it from the one until he figures out that Jaylen can do that.

How stupid, Jaylen, what are you thinking? Damn it, you get a miracle hand off from the one and this is how it winds up.

eta* McDermott just gave you a free point. Does he not know the rules?

Oh my God. It's the basic math and specal teams where sometimes you get a window into the coach's thought process and it looks like a baby's bib.

Frustrating watching this game with Josh Allen as a QB on my team in a league I play. I'm sure Bills fans don't want to hear it, but it's really time for GM and coach to move along and find whatever pastures are the greenest. I'm skeptical of both. There is a lack of big-time talent save for Cook around Josh Allen. I guess Shakir is a nice slot receiver . . .

That is stunning. Did his internal clock just shut dowm?

Damn. Did they call a play action route for Warren to sit down in? That's the play you call coming out of the halftime break?

I am assuming Rodgers sustained a concussion or perhaps injured the broken wrist in a way that made it worse?
The bloody bridge of his nose doesn't seem like a huge deal, they can patch him up but did he suffer some type of head injury?
I don't see him being talked about as in concussion protocol yet

I expect him to be done... He was 50/50 all week, no doubt its very possible he re-injured the wrist and will need surgery.

Lot of game left and Josh Allen has not had a terrific game so far, I don't see how the game could be deemed over
Steelers need to regroup and just make stops on defense like they've done throughout the football game, good things will happen
Buffalo Defense is not lights out

it could be deemed over cause Steelers have no QB.. It might come down to them needing a TD
