Bills vs Dolphins - Week 2 (1 Viewer)

I can’t wait to see how PFF figures out how to trash Josh Allen this week and give him a weak grade. They’re about to earn the gold medal in mental gymnastics.

The Bills miss Milano and Edmunds so badly on defense. No way Gesicki has anywhere near this type of game with those guys healthy.

Allen over Rosen was a great call.
Not just that.  He rebuilt a garbage-tier roster into a solid team.  If you don't follow the Bills, you have no idea how awful our WRs and OL were in Allen's rookie year.  Those units were mostly rebuilt with spot-on FA signings and trades.

Edit: You guys are on a very similar path.

Hopefully Milano and/or Edmunds are healthy by next week. Bills about to start a pretty tough stretch with Rams, Raiders, Titans and Chiefs over the next month.

Only 4 players in NFL history have had 700+ passing yards, 6+ TDs, 0 INTs, first two weeks of a season:

Peyton Manning, 2013

Tom Brady, 2015

Patrick Mahomes, 2019

Josh Allen, 2020

After playing the 2 favorites to win the division, I'd say the NE defense is a little better (Milano and Edmunds would make a difference), but the Bill's offense is much better.

Mahomes played Jackonville and the Raiders, while Allen played the Jets and Miami. I think Allen is special, but the opposition helps.

I had him about QB#8 preseason for FF, but I'd move him ahead of Watson and  perhaps Ryan to about #6. He doesn't face elite defenses until the second half of the season when they face NE twice, SF and PITT.

Dude, he’s the 4th guy in NFL history. Of course there’s a stat for everything, but PLENTY of very good QBs have played bad teams in weeks 1 and 2 before and only 3 of them previously put up those numbers.

It doesn’t mean Allen is a lock to be a franchise QB and I think everyone understands it’s just 2 games, but man, give the guy his due, sheesh. The evidence is definitely trending in the right way for Allen.

I got you. 😆

PFF- " Congratulations to Josh Allen who threw for over 400 yards and 4 touchdowns in Week 2 against Miami and also received a perfect passer rating. Allen has always seemed to flourish against Miami, but unfortunately for Miami, they had two key defenders leave in the 1st half. Shaq Lawson, and Byron Jones. If Jones and Lawson didn't go down with injury's I don't see Allen getting over 300 yards this game. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and start calling Josh a superstar yet, It took him until his 3rd year before he could get 300+ yards passing, something that both Mahomes and Lamar Jackson did in their rookie year. Josh got lucky this game, sometimes players get lucky. But we don't factor in luck into our rankings. So this week we have Josh listed at #26, right behind Sam Darnold who came in at #25 this week. Who almost pulled out a come from behind victory against the 49ers."

Yes, its a great and well deserved stat for Allen. I was just pointing out that Allen has played 2 very bad defenses, just as Mahomes did last year. As a Dolphin fan, I'm not looking forward to playing him twice a year. He nearly had two 100 yard rushing games as a rookie, and now a 400 yard passing game versus the Dolphins.
