Yeah, the streaming deals aren't looking as great this year. https://www.tomsguide.com/entertainment/streaming/black-friday-streaming-deals-2025
Lots of resorts and hotels are having BF sales already. Just booked a two week stay in Mexico at 40% off. Also booked a birthday trip to Jekyll Island and an anniversary trip to Savannah, Ga. Both at 25% off.

Some other Minisforum models are on other discounts through Amazon: https://store.minisforum.com/pages/...j2MAY0wWy13-Iq10Kw-JdO_ii9Pz0xoxoCtUQQAvD_BwELooking for a deal on a mini pc. Hopefully Amazon has a few BF choices

What service did you use to book it? We need to travel more
@Tick In my research, I came across this thread. I'm a little unclear on the question - did it come with malware installed? Not that I've found. It was pretty clean without a bunch of crapification pre-installed.@Tick In my research, I came across this thread. I poked around a bunch when I decided to get a mini and Minisforum and Geekom were frequently recommended brands.
I can just never figure out the use case for these things. Is it just camping?
I wish they would bring back the OG airpods without the squishy tips. The newer ones are too big and uncomfortable for my earsAirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation $99 original price $179
Costco
Picked up a couple for the kids.
Must be new. Don't get anything with our ATT wireless.I've got this, too. I am pretty sure I have Disney+ via AT&T wireless unlimited as well.We get HBO Max through AT&T wireless unlimited plan. Not sure if that is still a thing or if we were grandfathered in.

I bought the 1000 v2 a few weeks ago for $337. I live in a suburb of Detroit with MANY, MANY trees, above ground cabling and an old power grid.I can just never figure out the use case for these things. Is it just camping?
Hulu and Disney + for $4.99 is pretty good. Not as good as the $2.99 last year, but still far better than normal price.Yeah, the streaming deals aren't looking as great this year. https://www.tomsguide.com/entertainment/streaming/black-friday-streaming-deals-2025
Yeah, I just bought on that one. I do hate the ads, but the difference in price between the version with the ads versus without is substantial.Hulu and Disney + for $4.99 is pretty good. rtings gave it a 5.6, and it has no local dimming.57% off a Hinsense 98" TV seems like a bargain, no?
Hinsense isn't top of the line, but it's not too far of a step down it seems. I have a smaller Hinsense in our bedroom and have been happy with it.
I mean... $1k for a 98" tv seems insane.
I measured it out on the wall and my wife gave it an "absolutely not." So I guess I I'm glad it's not so good.rtings gave it a 5.6, and it has no local dimming.57% off a Hinsense 98" TV seems like a bargain, no?

You never invite me to tailgate. #kicksrockI bought the 1000 v2 a few weeks ago for $337. I live in a suburb of Detroit with MANY, MANY trees, above ground cabling and an old power grid.I can just never figure out the use case for these things. Is it just camping?
We lose power once or twice a year. Sometimes for a few hours. Sometimes maybe a day or so.
I wanted something that would power internet and charge phones, power a fan or even the fridge or freezer for a few hours if needed.
Far better than running a gas generator outside and running an extension cord through my dryer vent.
Can also take tailgating, etc. Well worth the $330 in my mind.

Actually, it's from awhile back. I can't find it in my myAT&T account but I know I get Disney+ and ESPN+ and don't pay for either.Must be new. I think I'm going to go with the 85" Hisense U75QG model. Rtings gives it a decent grade, and I'm fine with that. I've overspent to get higher rated models lately, and the marginal gain in quality isn't worth the extra money or sacrificing size.

I like this idea. A lot. Thank you.
I looked into a generator last year. Had a Honda 9000 something or other available for cheap. After some research, it sounded like it was more maintenance than I cared for.
I never even considered this option
Am I wrong in thinking that this would be one of the handiest things to own in Florida for Hurricane season?
Can't think of a better option especially if you get the solar panels.Am I wrong in thinking that this would be one of the handiest things to own in Florida for Hurricane season?
I never understand the need for such a big TV, until I started watching NFL games on multiview.I measured it out on the wall and my wife gave it an "absolutely not." So I guess I I'm glad it's not so good.rtings gave it a 5.6, and it has no local dimming.57% off a Hinsense 98" TV seems like a bargain, no?

I'm seeing HBO Max (Ad Version) for $2.99 a month for 12 months on Amazon nowHBO at $5.99/mo Amazon add-on is all I've got so farI’m just watching for cheap streaming service subs - last year was great.
Yes, sucks that the Ad free versions are ever on sale. I'm sure its a marketing tactic. Lure people in with the cheap Ad version and hope they get frustrated and pay for the upgrade maybe?I really hate the ads
I think I meant apple on that post anyway but I'm definitely going to get the HBO offer. Got a few there to watch.I'm seeing HBO Max (Ad Version) for $2.99 a month for 12 months on Amazon nowHBO at $5.99/mo Amazon add-on is all I've got so farI’m just watching for cheap streaming service subs - last year was great.
HBO wasn't too bad before but Hulu is terrible. Almost like watching an NFL game at the the of the first half. 30 seconds of action and 2 minutes of commercials.I really hate the ads
I think they actually make more money with the ad supported versions.Yes, sucks that the Ad free versions are ever on sale. I'm sure its a marketing tactic. Lure people in with the cheap Ad version and hope they get frustrated and pay for the upgrade maybe?I really hate the ads
