While I'd be surprised if CLE didn't do something stupid on draft day, I can't see the Eagles enabling it by being even more stupid yet. I'm also skeptical that the Jets would do something smart like trading down instead of stupidly trading up. Also no way in hell the Lions pick a Safety in the 1st, they haven't even picked a CB in the first for like 20 years.

So why is this stupid for Philly.

In the whole picture they would be trading their #1 this year and next, a #2 next year and Nick Foles (who wasn't a fit) for their qb of the future and a #3 next year.

I have seen a lot more given up for a less fit for an offense.

I don't see it as that bad.

Lol at Kevin White over Cooper and Williams. You do know Al Davis is dead, right?
I think Oakland has the possession wr in Crabtree and Rivera is decent and I think they need a deep threat like White to build around.

A lot of the "experts" have White ranked higher.

I am not saying I am 1 of them but this isn't crazy at all.

17) SD Melvin Gordon RB Wisconsin
Can't wait for the draft just so I can stop seeing mocks with RB's to the Chargers.
When SD has had a good running game in the past they have been a lights out offense.

When they haven't and had to rely on the pass they have been very medicore.

With Rivers future in jeopardy I don't see coming up with another face of the offense as a bad thing.

Oliver and Brown aren't the answer

Amari Cooper isn't a "possession" WR. He can do it all. The only thing White can do better is contest jump balls. If this were five years ago, White would be a lock for Oakland. But in the McKenzie era, the team looks at more than just ht/wt/spd, though Cooper is no slouch in those categories, in addition to being the most polished and skilled WR in the draft by far.

I will agree with you but a lot of "experts" are scared about Cooper's stats in contested balls in college and seem a little worried about him going against better talent and the results. Again, I do NOT like White and I think Cooper is a better prospect, but I think White goes before him in the draft.

I can't see TEN taking Shane Ray after his MJ possession charge. Nor Randy Gregory in the top 10 after his failed test.

Other than that, interesting.

They weren't lights out LT's first 3 years in the league and didn't become that way until Gates/Brees developed/Rivers.

The last time a RB was drafted in the 1st round and had 1000 yards on a team with a winning record was Chris Johnson in 2008.

Even Adrian Peterson's Vikings went 8-8 his rookie year.

In my defense, this mock pas posted before learning about Ray's MJ charge.

I still think Gregory goes early

IMO SD is a different offense with a about avg rb behind Rivers and right now, they have nothing

And they have shown int eh past they aren't afraid to take a rb early

LT top 5

Ryan Mathews #12 I believe.
